Here is the drawing i whipped up. I have many leftover drive caps so i put some of them in the saw and faced them off in the lathe. I use these now to clamp down the cross pin. Place one pinion gear at 6:00 o'clock to check your clearance. The other 3 are have Gravity on them and will give you a...
All new production of DT.lockers for the last 17 years have been soft locker designs. As for the DT. ture-trac the only one in captivity, Wehring has it. This is as rare as chicken lips with matching dentures.
Great ratio, 5.86 Axletech 3000 series open carrier with no locker. The 4000 series has air lockers, both have steel housing you can weld on, and wide and narrow width. 13 1/4 bolt pattern.
Thank you for your reply. I will see how many are left tomorrow and post his info. Bryce bought 8 of them from my guy. I have 4 coming for my inventory that are spoken for in axle builds.
" your talking to a dead horse in this thread " I consider this as a bitch slap. There are 2 names with contact info. to buy these lockers from, you have one of them. I have a new way to setup the planetary hubs, i have large disc brakes for these meritors and front locking hubs in developement...
A friend and i started a year ago to have these lockers made for the Meritor axles, and now they are here. I started this thread 11 months ago to see if there was any interest in this locker here. I am an axle manufacture, not a parts pimp. From this point on I will limit the info. i post on...
Gerhard and I talked about this at the GA. rally. This is what i have at this moment. 100% welded to the ID bore, to be fully machined out by next week end. Who is on board?
The drive shaft feeds the differential in the top. In this pic it is all in the top, the feed comes in from the right and out the left side. And the air port for lockup is there on the left. I bench tested this unit right there where it sets in those 2 pic's.
OK, stock setup on #2 axle and #3 axle is one wheel drive each, left or right wheel. You lift one tire each axle and the truck will not move, with lockers, yes. A locker in both axles would be all wheel drive? As long as equal footing on all 4 tires yes. With this setup you can place a jack...
You will get different opinions from everyone on this. I have DT. lockers in all 3 of my axles. My truck is a blue 1979 Ford built 35 years ago . The power is dived 50/50 between the 2 axles in the rear on a M1083. You can have a locker in ether axle, what good is it? The power is going to run...
I have so of these Meritor RF-12 ( M1078A1 and 2 on up) kits. These have 100% all of the planetary parts with end cap. This can really help some one that opens their hub up to find chewed up parts.
