Really like you're avatar pic. SWEET RIG! Do you have the full size picture available? What type of trailer is that? Is it an Eager Beaver? Does it have air brakes? What does it weigh empty? How does it pull? Hope you don't mind all the questions.
Adrian...I bought the adapter plug from Erick's Military Surplus. It's easy to install and it works great. I think it costs about $83 dollars. I also discovered that my flasher had water inside it's mil connector. That resulted in front and rears turn signals that wouldn't blink even after the...

Teh,
I run Firestone T-831 11R-20 radials on my bobber. They are dualled on the rear. They are mounted on the stock six hole rims. I like them so far. I got them very slightly used for $285 each.
Heath, nice truck! I hope you enjoy many happy miles with it! My trans shifts pretty well, but I seldom try to downshift into third at more than say 15 miles per hour. Sometimes I double clutch. Third is a pretty low gear in a Deuce. I can easily go around a corner at ten miles an hour in third...
Guys, for what it's worth I had a problem with my headlights. The bulbs would go dim and burn out. I traced it to the ground wire/connector that plugged into the back of the passenger side headlight can. The male pin in the Packard connector was turning sideways and making intermittent contact...
Thanks for the great pictures. It really helps me to understand how the Deuce's front axle works. Like your flatbed too.
I drove my bobber to N.J. inspection Friday. They told me my truck was exempt and didn't require inspection. Saturday, my son and I drove him to our pistol club and practiced...
Tom,
Sounds like a 180 h.p. LDS and your OD 5th gear set would be perfect together for my Deuce. They sure do bog down in 4th and 5th with a 134 h.p. Whistler. I'm going to start saving up.

Davit. Love it. I used to hang in my ships motor whale boat, gigs, and barges from a davit over the ocean. As an Engineman, I had to fire up the diesel just before the boat was dropped the last three feet into the water.
I have two extra, brand new shorty mudflaps for my Deuce. Bought two too...
Turbo,
Sounds good. I let my 21 year old son Dan drive my truck for the first time today. He was a natural. He smiled the whole time. It was kind of fun for me to see his 6'5" bod all scrunched in there. I fixed my turn signals this morning. There was water in the flasher connector grounding it...
whatadeuce and welldigger. Thanks. I have the feeling my thermostat is stuck open. A new one is on they way. I do have a really high quality winter front that was included in the heater kit. I may use it. I was also thinking along the same lines concerning synthetic oil. I think I'll go with the...
welldigger,
I could use a little southern warmth about now. Although, I put on my insulated coveralls and work outside anytime it's over twenty degrees.
Thanks for your advice on oil. I am a fan of multi-grade too. I've used Mobil 1 synthetic in my cars and trucks for years with excellent...
Ace...I know exactly what you mean. Some days it's one step forward and two steps back. Still, there's no place I'd rather be than in the parking lot working on my Deuce. It's a **** shame I have to work for a living. Otherwise, I'd be out there 24/7/365.
My friend the digger. I will definitely look into the plastic lines. My son always kids me about how old school I am. "Dad...nobody uses tubing benders and flaring tools anymore except you"! However, when he gets into a mechanical jamb...I'm the first guy he looks for.
Yeah, I really want to...
