BEFORE you spend $$$$, deal with the AXLE VENT issue, most of the time when the issue is delt with, the leak dries up, it is NOT a bad seal that causes the leak but a OVER PRESSURED axle due the a plugged crappy axle vent.

NO not normal, Plugged axle vents, the pressure WILL find the weakest seal, then leak, if the pressure is still there, the next weakest seal will leak, ect., ect.

Yes you can drive it to the wrench tec. it is NOT THE DRUM, will Not grind your bearings to nothing, you will have brakes, just the one wheel will have less, 99.9% that is is the crappy axle vent, you NEED to remove ALL the axle vents (5), this WILL GREATLY reduce you axle, transfer case...

The trans has nominal 2 to 5 with low in the drop box along with the 30% to 50% front tractive effort clutches, since the drop box is not a 2 speed (another great design by the design committee), low has to be first gear. The drop box is PART of the transmission as a single unit, not two...

The drop box also has 1 st in it, not in the trans, if someone were to replace the drop box with a standard transfer case, they would end up with drive lines at a VERY sharp angle, this will KILL drive line u-joints, just a thought.

This IS true, the regearing makes this truck worth a LOT more, so WHY so cheap ?????

Also I believe the front is the 7 pin 12v only, the front is for towing the fmtv only.
