M809 - Rear Wheel Cylinders in the Front?

When we restored the "restored" m62, we used rears on the front, for the main reason if a wheel cylinder took a dump, we only need one size on the shelf.

M809 water pump and fan hub

On the fan hub is a plug, pull the plug and install a grease fitting, on all civi units, there is a grease fitting, do not over grease, because it will go every where.

    HET 3000 lb winch

Today I pulled the little winch off BART and striped it down because there was a seep of gear oil at the drum/end housing, and the shiftier thingy was not moving. 1st --the shiftier thingy, There are two O rings. one in the housing to keep water/dirt from getting in and oil from getting out...

M923 A2 HI LO Stiff shifting Problems

Everything else will stay working as before after the air is cut from the transfer shift lock, only now you will be able to shift the transfer easier and on the move.

Code name BART (Bad A** Recovery Truck)

I know of one in here in town that is a 80 toner, it is not so much lifting 80t but being able to do heavy work further from the truck.

Code name BART (Bad A** Recovery Truck)

Just a quick update, I will get some pictures later, fuel can holders (acting as R side bed side boards) installed (ladder acts as the L. side side boards), rear work lights installed, 3,000 lb. winch plumbed, drain holes drilled. Need to pull the little winch (tomorrow), it has been seeping...

M923 A2 HI LO Stiff shifting Problems

Yes, this is true, all the 939 series have the same transfer case with the wreckers having a pto, it is easier just to put the lock on all the transfers, I guess they were worried that the transfer would get bumped out of low at a bad time ??, the wreckers have the lock to keep the transfer from...

M923 A2 HI LO Stiff shifting Problems

Also the anti shifting lock is not needed unless you have a wrecker where the lock keeps the transfer from going in gear while using the back end, just remove the air supply, plug both the air line and the shift lock. this is the same as airing down.

Anyone in the Atlanta area that would be able to check out a vehicle for me?

depends on where it is, I am about 1 hour north of Atlanta.

    Wrecker wishlist of mods

Wrong, the rear axle becomes the pivoit point because the the axle set can no longer move around the trunion, once the wedges set, the weight transfers to the rear axle off the trunion. Run #2 axle up on a block (this opens the gap between the walking beam and the stop for #3 axle), set your...

Nhc 250 cummins pt pump rebuild shop

I have to agree, sounds more like sucking air, being this is the second ip, I would look for something else, the idle not coming down is a sign of sucked air OR a restricted return, did you by any chance trick up the ip because if done without adjusting the springs will also cause the idle to...

    Reoccurring brake issues on M109A3

Make sure your master cylinder is returning all the way, pull the linkage pin, make sure the piston is FULLY returned, then adjust the linkage to that point.

Just a gasket, a bit of sealer, thats it

Code name BART (Bad A** Recovery Truck)

The only problems are 1 -- the crane was a must and 2 -- did not have access to a heavy holmes bed, if I had, I would have moved the bed back and put the crane between the winches and the bed.

    Ultimate 5 ton tractor

I believe the reason is this, the tubs are narrower in the front then the back, and a 939 tub is wider then a 809 tub by 9", I am guessing that the back of a 809 tub width is close to the width of the front of the 939 tub, if this is the case, there would be no need to spread the front of a tub...

NCH250 Front Gear Cover water leak?

The water is coming from the water pump, nothing from/on/in the gear cover, not to hard to pull the water pump, when you install, use a NEW sealing ring and a LOT of anti-seize on EVERYTHING including the sealing ring, be careful when pulling the 6 pump bolts, most likely there was no anti-seize...

    Ultimate 5 ton tractor

Jeff, I have a set of mk15 spades if your interested, I used my long boom support polls for BARTS spade tubes with a set of mk15 spades, I had to bush the spade tube socket 3/8 using 3/16 wall thickness pipe for a better fit of the tubes.
