    Help with wiring

Have you been under the truck to check and make sure you have a starter, that is wired up and bolted up securely, and is not missing the starter bracket. Check the batteries with a volt meter to see if you have 24 volts. Check all your fuses. Check the volts at the starter, it should be 24...

    Help with wiring

The pink wire hooks into the spade connector on the top part of the injection pump, and the green wires hook on the spade connector more towards the firewall on the pump. I believe the connectors will only fit the correct size spade on the injection pump.

    Help with wiring

I was prepared for some possible push back on that one. You are right, I normally would have just told him. But I thought, as Mullaney said, It would be a chance for him to figure out a solution with minimal effort on his own. The wire has about an inch of play which limits the possibilities of...

With out those wires plugged in you'll never get it started. You should be able to figure out where they go fairly easy.

Air spring assist, and airbags, definitely have some downside. Prepare for maintenance and dollar outlays. And potential failures at times.

Is trying to fix this card worth messing with?

The card is burnt all the way into the board. A new updated card would be a better way to go in my opinion. Get one from member antennaclimber on this site.

    Cranking issue, '86 M1008, previously 12V converted

Google ( How to remove a broken bolt in a deep hole U- tube. ) He will show you how to make a drill guide to drill a straight hole into a broken bolt in a recessed hole. It is the perfect solution in my opinion. Ultimate Handyman is his name.

    Cranking issue, '86 M1008, previously 12V converted

It sounds like you have it under control. Maybe the bolt broke off because it was not torqued enough. Either way it doesn't matter. A locktite starter bolt would be a mess to get out. Those bolts are designed to shear off as to not damage the block. I hope you get it out without any problems.

    Cranking issue, '86 M1008, previously 12V converted

That is a bummer. You might look into a self centering drill bit. You might only have one chance to get it right. It might be worth it to take it in to a shop and let someone with the right tool and experience do the job.

    CUCVRUS Repair Projects

When I pull my M1008 into a materials yard and tell them to load it with a yard of sand or rock, they ask me if I want half now and the other half later. I tell them I will take it all now. The operator starts placing the material slowly into the truck as several yard people look on waiting for...

Light Bulb Numbers List for CUCV's

I feel your frustration. Maybe double check al your bulb sockets. Make sure all your sockets are making a good connection when screwed down. Double check all your bulbs even if new. New bulb sockets are cheap, maybe new ones would be worth a try.

Does your starter have the required bracket- brace, attached to it to help hold the starter from breaking loose?
