TY.
I sold the M1009.
I sold the M1010 to my mom (lol)
I picked up an M1031
Recent pic getting new shoes for both.....
Funny, I don't get any crap for my current lights and signage, lol
I had a traffic director mounted on the rear of my M1009....
The 2 red LEDs were wired as auxiliary turn signal/brake lights.. as I had almost been rear ended multiple times...
I passed a Sherriff deputy, and had my turn signal on to change lanes, and he pulled me over, saying only ambulances...
Couple things to check for the fuel fired heater.
Pump on driver side firewall under the hood.
Shut off valve under truck, just under heater
Drain valve under truck just under the heater (easy to tell if pump is running)
Fuel filter- ceramic (can be removed and cleaned) @ burner
There is a specific scheme for each vehicle, some are NATO standard.....

I'm allowed to celebrate my victories!
Considering I'd be looking at risking having to tear out my steering column, and I wanted switches anyway.....:grd:
Speaking from first hand knowledge, a lot of agencies do whatever works to get them back on the road.....Then can't find the time or even care to fix it right because 'it...

Hahahh...
That's one of the things I point out on my truck... 'see the size of the fuel cap? For logistics reasons they can just shove in a larger nozzle, and use JP4, JP8, or whatever they had available'...
An exclamation of 'that's awesome, it can run on jet fuel' or some variation thereof...
doesn't it just seem simpler to have 24v glow plugs to meet the NATO 24v starting requirement instead of the problematic resistor setup?
or.. was it a cost cutting measure? no 24v plugs at the time?
I've already bypassed the resistor and moved supply to 12v..why shouldn't I just get 24v plugs...
So.. O'reilly lied and said the Wix filter had the pickup tube o-ring. It didn't.
They say none of them do, and seemed upset with ME that they gave me the wrong info.
TM shoots out a GMPart# of 6771005, but no one seems to be able to cross reference that to anything usable...
Grrrr
I chased away a methhead trying to steal my LED fog lights on my M1031...
Heard a ratcheting outside, go outside to see $%#^$ with a ratchet unbolting my lights... Had one off, but still connected....
Dude had the $^$# to say 'I wasn't doing anything'....
Ratchet in hand... light hanging by...
