What have some of you come up with for cluster lighting for night time excursions? The two red bulbs do an excellent job of blinding me and make it harder to see the gauges in the dark. My current solution is a roll of duct tape in the seat with a flashlight sitting atop of that pointed at the...
I got both the tubes and flaps from a local truck tire place that initially said they'd do the job for me but when it came time to get it done they backed out and said it couldn't be done. I collected my boxes of rubber implements from them and spent another 2 days searching for someone...
39$ per tube, 33$ per flap. You can't skip getting a flap. 11s will not be enough and will likely explode after time, 13s could work but I don't know for sure. Some more knowledgeable people than I run 14s so I went with 14s.
If you don't have the tires already and aren't sure about doing the...
1400x20
Sort of. Hired a local truck tire place but I did a good 75% of the grunting with the prybars to beat the sidewall down enough to pound on the lock ring. Don't attempt unless you have a few strong friends, and know how to capture the lock ring when removing them.
I've got a question for you guys about WMO>
If you are changing the oil in your vehicle and KNOW the catch pan for the drained oil is clean, would you still need to filter the WMO before putting it in your Deuce tank? Sort of a "fresh from the tap" situation instead of scavenging it from an...
Not really. Now it will only do it when making sharp left turns. Still only under power. I didn't do anything to the truck, it just quit making noise when turning right.
Odd thing I noticed while trail riding this weekend is if I am on "soft" terrain (anything not hard pavement) the noise is...
Wow, they are absurdly expensive. There is only one hit on ebay and its a 20' cable with two of the 1 pin nato ends that are in "poor but usable" condition for 125$. There were some new MFG plugs I discovered from googling, but each plug (only the plug) was well over 100$
I suppose I will make...
What style is the plug to fit the accessory socket on the outside of a Deuce cab? I want to fabricate a "work light" to run off of it. Does it have a built in ground already in the connector?
You may be getting into the wrong hobby. We are talking about a 13,500lb (this is the 2.5ton truck, not a 5 ton) truck with 130hp/300ftlb driving it. You'd be lucky to beat a dump truck in a race, and after you get over 50mph (if you even get to it) you will automatically lose every time because...
I have one 55gal drum slowly amassing WMO from my personal cars and lawnmowers. I have considered asking local shops if I can have their waste oil and ATF but I haven't figured out where I'd keep it. If I fill drums in the back of the truck, I have no way to get the full drums back out of the...
even after you modify the rear axles to allow a tire that size to be used you will have some major rubbing problems with the front tires while steering. I also suspect your tires will be meeting the underside of the bed and fenders if you go offroading or load it heavily.
Might be better to...
I got his last 7 tires, but hes getting more soon:
UNBEATABLE OFFROAD TIRES
I only wanted 6 but he had 7 left and gave me the extra for free. They're in good shape but he is WAY in the middle of nowhere, you literally go down a road in lesser quality than a logging trail to get to his house...
