Did you follow DieselAddict's suggestion to pull the top cover and look for mouse damage? I'm thinking a shorted wire somewhere in the unit. Many folks on SS have found worn insulation and shorts from wires touching the sides of the generator.....and my 802 vibrates quite a bit. The...
If camper is wired for 240 volts you will need to supply 240 volt: 2 legs of 120 volts. A 240 volt camper will be similar to a house in that the 120 volt legs are approximately balanced (amps). I would wire it up 4 wire, 6/4 SOOW cable, MEP802 selector switch on 120/240. You will get 26 amps...
Most of the guys on this forum seem to use one quart of ATF at oil change time for a 100 or so miles to clean things up.

Maybe your oil sender is failing. Search the Bay for "QTY (1) Datcon Oil Pressure Sender 80 PSI, 02504-00, 1/8-27 thread, 10-32 stud". I had one go bad and replaced it with a Datcon 02504-00 (different seller) and all works as it should now.
If garage is attached to your home you may wind up with CO seeping into your house. I ran some flexible steel duct from a generator exhaust to a window in a shed one time. The duct got really hot and the shed was filled with exhaust fumes when the generator was running.
The military gen sets...

I've got a 165F thermostat in mine. I noticed that the one I took out was 190F so a good amount of variability there. KY has been kind of cool recently.....55F ambient? Might be accurate reading......
I had to pull the TM and study the battery connection diagram to understand your point. Excellent tip: Thanks. I'm not used to working with 2 batteries in series and it is now clear that with these units 'always disconnect negative first' can get you in trouble if on the right side of...
I used a tractor with forks to bolt mine onto a trailer. If you plan on using a cherry picker you'll need some spreader bars to prevent pinching the top of the case. You can fork it from either side.
I used a dedicated circuit to backfeed my panel through one of those connectors that force you to turn the breaker box off before you can throw the 70 amp generator breaker. My electrician wired it to handle the 70 amp breaker. BUT I am using 50 amp 'California Standard' connectors from...
If you don't have the TM check this out.....

I went with a 70amp breaker on my generator feed (MEP803A). The 803 puts out 52 amps and my electrician said we needed a 20 or 25% buffer. The only thing I could find on the net that explains what he was taking about is here. https://www.hunker.com/12291117/how-to-size-a-circuit-breaker
