Silver Eagle LTT-HC. I think the hat channels that the generator is mounted on are 2-1/2 inches high.

M116A3 is also used (Stugpanzer's). Hat channels are 1-1/2 inches in height.

MEP831A for RV power and an MEP802A for future back up. I bought an 802 for use with an RV and then learned there's a switch that will deliver a single leg of 52 amps at 120volts: WAY overkill for the camper I'm considering. If you have one of those prairie schooners that use 240 volts and...
A lot of excellent detail on rebuilding MEP-802As in this thread.
https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?125824-Picked-up-3-MEP-802A-gensets-and-will-be-documenting-making-them-all-runners-here/page9
I like mine and it's water proof. See specs here: https://no.co/g7200
"Rugged.
Designed for a rugged working environment. The G7200 is water, shock, dirt and dust-proof, and rated at IP65."
I got that 186-6198 and part count called for 4. I searched on the 186-6196 and it showed figure 13 and the diagram part number 5: I think this is the crankshaft bolt.
Green Mountain has an "MEP802A-MEP803A BOLT Onan 186-6196" but no usable description. They do have a Lister Petter part...
In TM 9-2815-253-24P (Page 48 and 49 of 101) the Crankshaft Bolt is FSCM 44940 Part Number 188-6196. Still looking for NSN.....
I get some sort of gyroscope with that part number: http://www.parttarget.com/6615-01-033-4774_6615010334774_1886196-2.html/-B11E01E8-5A1B-4884-AA86-51026B5E0B74...
Bought from auction site: NEW LOT OF 3 DATCON LIGHT KIT 06215-00 12V 5/8”. My bulbs have same symmetry for the 2 lug pins as your bulb, but the globe appears to be smaller. I missed the fact that you had not used a Datcon socket and thought problem was the bulb. In post #44 Daybreak shows...
I used a CEC 265 bulb (24 volt) that worked for me in the Datcon 12 volt socket with no alteration. I figured the 24vt and 12vt sockets would be the same and found a deal on three 12vt Datcon sockets. I searched for a 24 volt bulb that matched the miniature 12vt bulbs that came with the...
So he don't know if it runs but is selling it. Wonder why he bought it??
Needs flywheel bolt, battery cables, muffler bolts and gasket. Smells to me like motor did not turn easy, so he pulled the muffler for inspection, saw a lot of rust from open exhaust, tried to turn the motor with a...
I received a rude surprise when I ordered these used connectors: 'California Standard' 3Ø connectors are different than the 'California Standard' Marine connectors. But the price was SO much better than the new Marine connectors I had installed on my first generator that I decided to do some...
I like the ones from this outfit search auction site for "Hubbell 50A 250v 3Ø 4 Wire Twist Lock Plug Pairs CS-8365L & CS-8364L Lot of 4" for better price. I bought a few; used but the ones I got looked new except for the chunk of wire cable screwed into the receptacle clamps.
No, No; not passing an opinion or judgement. dmetalmiki did not see the lugs. I was attempting to illustrate NDT's concern by answering dmentalmiki's request for a picture without a picture. It appears that you are aware of issue and your garage has WAY less debris than mine does. Your...
Upper right corner of generator, where wooden box is. I believe battery lugs have been installed there with clamps attached: they are exposed to debris.
Might try the folks at Electroswitch. I bought a new S1 from them as described here: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?170926-MEP-802A-803A-S1-Master-Switch-Source-Electroswitch
You'll need to confirm from TM that Electroswitch makes the S6 (my S6 looks like their work) with NSN...
I remember the thread, too. I saved a link to the big auction site: search on "Water Pump 186-6178 for Onan US Military Generator MEP-802A/MEP-803A Engine" but confirm the part numbers: I have not replaced one, so may be inaccurate. Suggest you compare to TM information before ordering...
E8267 may work, too. http://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/airtex,E8267,fuel+pump,6256 . I have one of these as a back up for my aux fuel pump on the 802/803 generators. The filter - if like my gen sets - is the Airtex G-17. I have an E8131 for use as a primary fuel pump spare.
Might consider this one: https://www.carid.com/airtex/electric-fuel-pump-mpn-e8131.html .
The E8131 is 24 volts: pic at carid has E8131AX....not sure about that AX.
Flow volume compares nicely to the Facet but it operates at a slightly higher psi. More recent 802a/803a units have switched...
A very short vehicle (like a jeep) is about the only thing that will fit. My F250 would knock the corner off of my house....my garage is opposite theirs... so I don't even try.
Picture shows how tight things are in my neighborhood: concrete is the neighbor's driveway. I do my testing on weekdays when most folks are at work and I've bought a spider box to allow neighbors access to power when we need it. I've received some grumbles about making the place look like a...
