    MEP803A Picked It Up Today

    Mep-803A turns off slow

I do not believe your 400Hz meter will work on a 60Hz machine. TM shows 2 different meters - differentiated by Hz.

External Filter on MEP-803A Aux Input

Yesterday there was a complete unit made in USA offered. Today everything looks to be Chinese. I think one of mine is Chinese, one is Racor. This size works for me and you want to buy the complete setup that includes the aluminum filter mount. I've also seen much larger surplus water...

External Filter on MEP-803A Aux Input

Yep, I connected both vessels through the bottom openings, but my design has much to be desired. Each side has a top opening: I put a dip tube in the 26 gallon side and a breather in the 7 gallon side. Problem is the draw down side does not breathe until the 7 gallon side starts gulping air...

External Filter on MEP-803A Aux Input

Search the auction site for "R12T" to find some fuel water separators. I installed one of these on an aux fuel cart and it has worked well for 15 or 20 gallons on an MEP803A and an MEP802A. Both of my generators have the Airtex fuel pumps.

    MEP-8xx S1 and S6 switch variations

I used the jumper cable (diode) from the old switch when I replaced the S1 on my 802A with an Electroswitch. The new Electroswitch Model 75902LV did not have the jumper installed.

    Outlet plug for my 803

Understand. Your setup is similar to mine except I bond the ground and neutral at the stove's connection box. Still before the load, but away from the generator by 10 or so feet of connection cable. I guess I need to do a better job of reading: Mike understood what you were doing.......but...

    Outlet plug for my 803

If your generator is not bonded....as in ready to supply power to your house and utilize the house ground to neutral bond......where will your ground and neutral be bonded when testing with stove? Does your stove have a bond between Neutral and Ground? Personally, I always drive a ground rod...

MEP 803a Short Circuit / Air Conditioner startup.

MEP-803A set up for 120/240 volt single phase is good for 52 amps. I doubt it will handle the 112 amp surge.

    what this plate means

Here's a pic of the Airtex pump installation for the MEP-80x generator. Fuel enters bottom of pump through a filter and out the top of the pump. The pump shown is military and I have not found one. I have a spare Airtex E8131 that I plan to use when needed.

    MEP-802/803 Filters and Parts

I'm guessing no. This outfit shows 1 gasket with the filter: https://www.fleetfilter.com/filter/33348.html .... and they reference a special order gasket pack. But they don't sell the gasket pack!!! I found a listing here that at least shows the 2 'missing' gaskets...

MEP 803 Fuel filter on Aux. input

I put a water separator / filter on the discharge of this auxiliary fuel tank. My 802A and 803A have no problem pulling the fuel into the generators.

adding GFCI receptacles to trailer mounted MEP802a.

Here's a couple pics of a typical trailer mounted ground stud. Note green ground wire is attached to the ground lug in the generator's connection box.

adding GFCI receptacles to trailer mounted MEP802a.

These spider boxes work well for situations like you describe: https://www.cepnow.com/product/6506gu-2/ Monitor the big auction site for used ones at around 1/2 the price of a new one. Search the site for info on wiring generator to house: here's a discussion using an MEP-803A...
