I believe the 6.5 intake and hat only has a 2.5 inch pipe connection. I could be wrong on the exact size but it is small and designed for pressurized air. without a turbo, it will be very restrictive for a NA motor.

I was able to get all of the interior braces complete, painted and installed. I have carriage bolts sticking out both sides that will hold the arms that will attach to the roof rack. The bolts will not stay sticking out, the head of the carriage bolt will be flush with the side.

yes, gep was redesigned. just because it is a 506 block does not mean it was a gep. need to look at the forge markings to determine if it is a gep for sure. need to have the Navistar logo which is two triangles back to back for an old gep.
The new gep motors are from a different forge.
research the doghead mod and use the wiring at this relay to determine what you have.
just be careful, some of the wires at this relay are always hot when the batteries are hooked up
They probably just put a 12 volt starter on it and changed the battery cables thinking that was all that was needed to make it 12 volt. with both alts hooked up and no major butchering of the wiring harness then you are most likely making 24 volts when the motor is running.

look up the Roscommon 12 volt conversion (on this site) and see if this has been done, it is a popular way to convert it to 12 volt.
IF the wiring harness does not appear to be butchered it may be easiest to make it stock since the wiring diagrams for this are located on this site at the top...

yes, IP is injection pump. to get the heads off you have to remove all the fuel lines and it is easiest to remove the lines with the pump. while you have it out, send it for a rebuild. It can be rebuilt for about $450. I would also consider having the heads rebuilt at a machine shop. normally...
