Most people talk about putting a 7.3 engine in a deuce to replace the LDT, not the other way around. That has got to be one beefed up front end to handle that weight, but I bet it had enough torque to pull those trailers easily.

It depends. I've seen mislabled horrors at GL during previews, and got good deals there with blind bids. The recent flurry of M931s sold by GL recently at ~$3K are now on Craigslist for $16K, so private sellers aren't always a good deal...
