You had to ask  ! Note to self: do not bid on large trailers when you have no means of towing them.
I had to get my 2 M871 trailers off base to store until I could pick them up with my broke M818.
New entrance requirements have recently been put in place at Ft. Polk, so you need to plan ahead. It used to be sufficient to show your driver's license for entry. Now you need to get out of your vehicle, take your registration, insurance, and driver's license in a building outside the gate...
I had a problem with a pickup at Ft. Polk and both gentlemen stepped up with offers of help. With their resources, I was able to solve my dilema, and I want all to know that I appreciate their assistance.
This is the land of the free (thanks, Vets!), and you can do anything to your property that you want to - so I voted bobbit.
That said, I would not bob my deuces because I just don't want to, and don't particularly see the attraction. Of course, I don't see the attraction for a 10'...
The air tanks on a stock duece are already fairly well protected. The tanks on this truck are probably located differently due to the rear PTO.
I just wish the camaraman didn't have the drunk staggers, I was getting seasick weaving back and forth. In the last scene when they dropped the...
Love the before and after photos. Those 1400's look good on that truck, but I would have been happy with the original Goodyears. It looks like the rust isn't too bad after coming from HI.
I'll bet you have the MV sore butt syndrome after driving that A3 from Houston to Ill, then your 925...
I tried that trick in my M818 with less than glorious results. It worked well until I came into the county seat with 25 mph limits. When I pushed it in from full throttle - NOTHING HAPPENED!! I kicked it out of gear and drifted to the side of the road between the sheriff's office and the...
I sold my first truck to Bryan 70546 and now he's addicted. "They call me the pusher"
It was hard to let go since it was one of the best condition trucks I've seen, but my only consolation is that I still own 5 MVs.
Did you get a bid confirmation email?
I always get a bid confirmation email from info@govliquidation.com that gives a record of my max bid like this:
This email has been sent in confirmation of the following bids:
Event ID: 50xx
Lot Number: 76xx
Bid Amount: $295.00 up to $805.00
What...
There are used car dealers, and then there's GL who sets the standard by which all others are judged. GL makes all other used car dealers look like the College of Cardinals.
We know this in our minds, but like the addicts we are, we still keep bidding and hoping we'll get lucky.
Glad to transport for SS members anything that can fit in the back of my truck.
I'll be in Hattiesburg late 3/10 and early 3/11
I'll be in the Baton Rouge area this weekend.
Leave Baton Rouge Monday 3/15 to Houston, and return Thurs 3/18.
Back to Hattiesburg / Laurel MS area on 3/22.
PM or...
If I am in the state whenever it is held, I will be there. There is a good chance, however, that I may be working in eastern WA for 2 to 3-week blocks during that entire period. If you can firm up a date early, I'll try to schedule around it if possible.
My M818 was about $250/mo for personal commercial (actually non-commercial, but that's what they call it) with unlimited use from Progressive. It also covers any of my trailers that are attached to it.
I've lived and worked in the oil and gas industry from drilling to refining for 30+ years, and I haven't seen many small trailers used. Don't plan your retirement on flipping M105s to oilfield companies. Now, the M871 trailers would be more useful in the industry.
That said, if you find a...
Be very careful about bidding on Pineville equipment and vehicles. The lot is unsecured and isolated back in the woods. I have seen signs of active scavenging when I've previewed there. Parts that were there one week were missing when I went back a few weeks later after the EUC cleared.
