I've found that the red Folgers coffee cans have a tight friction fit on the deuces, but still blow off easily when starting. I thought about painting them green, but this way I can find them in the grass.
I still haven't found the right size for the 5-ton stack.
Sometimes I think the green on this site is from MV envy and the green is flowing really thick now. Maybe you shouldn't include some pics - a lot of keyboards would probably short out and the SS site would get too quiet.

Tony's great, as are all the folks at Camp Shelby. Sometimes the servicemen are stretched thin, but if you are patient, they all will pitch in. I once had 4 of them hand push two M101 trailers on my flatbed. Dropped off some boiled shrimp on my next trip to show my appreciation for their help...
Ryan, I'm glad your son is OK and pray you recover quickly.
I drive about 60-80K miles a year, and have come to the conclusion that driving is the most dangerous thing most of us do. The biggest threat is the other driver, and there is not a whole lot you can do about it, other than keep your...
Engine was low miles
It had 147 miles when I picked it up last summer from GL, and I put about another 900-1000 miles on it by the time the valve dropped. It's got just under 2000 miles now.
I was worried that I broke it, but the mechanic said sometimes things just break. He said oil flow...
I guess I forgot to say that the front emergency air valve was frozen. That's why we just went to the trailer brakes. The tow truck driver said it still pulled better than most big rigs he's towed.
Final Update - truck is running again
Final Update – Got her fixed!! :jumpin: Total bill - $2043 parts & labor, around $400 parts & shipping, $397 towing = $2840. :-(
Problem was one of the #3 cylinder valves dropped into the cylinder while at 1800 rpm and 45 mph. Before I could shut...
Been there, done that.
I even pumped fuel from the full tank into the empty tank when I thought the dash switch was broke.
At least you know how low you can go in that tank, I'm afraid to drop below 1/2. :D
Short answer might be "yes" but the accurate answer is "maybe"
No federal requirement for CDL to operate the 800 series 5-tons if not using it for commercial use. Some states might require a CDL for private vehicles over a certain GVWR, and others let you drive any size truck without a CDL if...
