I have a 12V gear reduction starter as a backup, it only takes a couple minutes to move the starter feed from the back panel to the front battery... Cranked over super fast when I needed it.. I of course switched back to a 24V starter as soon as it was rebuilt...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

You think RRAD did that? Or you think GL/GP (whoever you bought it from) did that? Wouldn't be the first time I've seen employees at auction places rigging the vehicles to fail so they could buy them cheap...or messing up vehicles when they go too cheap..... ****, I paid $900 for an M1010 at a...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I would check and see if Seafoam still advertises it for diesel... I believe there was an issue... Might be a coincidence but I toasted an IP shortly after adding seafoam....and I'm not the only one... May be coincidental, or they were on their way out and I just expedited the process, but...

So, I grabbed the TM for the pump, but the pictures are mostly all black and not viewable.. so... Notice leaking from around the throttle shaft area, pulled pump, realized the ether pressure switch attached to the pump is definitely toast, and is definitely leaking, BUT, I have it off so I'd...

    12 volt power station

Hardtop + FL = Put a solar panel or 2 on the roof... 200W of solar will give you about 15A of charging/use...With moderate you'd be able to use a dedicated battery isolated from the charging system, so even if you kill the batt you can still start/run the truck...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Pulled my PT pump off....Looked like it was leaking from the throttle shaft... I noticed the shaft is super loose.. gravity alone is enough to flop the lever around.. BUT...In doing so... I noticed bubbles coming from the electrical connector that should be the pressure sensor for the ether...
