if it is a leaker get a safety seal plug kit i got mine from amazon you will want the truck plugs. I had the same thing in my rear took 5 minutes to do a nice permanent repair. The safety seal brand plugs stick and seal like nothing else right now i have 4 in my sidewall as a badar repair...
Ido lots of this style rims every summer and once the tire and bead ring are set there is no way the snap ring can come out. I had a big dock forklift this summer with 2 bad lock rings on it they needed to be replaced because they were sprung, this is where accidents likely come from, some one...
i would't rule it out i came across a strange steel tracked trailer with old green paint on it it was manufactured by athey but i couldn't find a data plate. it looked wwII vintage but with no data plate or phone to take a picture i cant id it. the lesson is keep your eyes open there is some...
i guess when my nehoff alternator dies i will look for an alternative, right now it seems to be pretty robust i jump start equipment and run winches off of mine with no problems. i think converting is going to cause more problems. plus you would give up the advantage of a 24 v starter for teh cold
most important check and adjust your point gap if you don't get proper coil saturation you will not get a hot spark. i like doing the condenser with the points the condensers job is to prevent arcing and material transfer on the points
Lights shouldn't kill the mule , the engine is equipped with a magneto. to kill the engine you ground the terminal on the mag. i would look to see if some one thought they could get power for lights of the mag terminal thinking its a battery positive terminal like a vw coil.
I got my tool from amazon its the oem brand it seems to wok well and only cost an arm. in the day i have used a bottle jack to push on the yoke and press the caps out then you have to jack a wheel and spin the shaft so you can press the other side out. Amazon also had a cool little press to...
i did one in teh field a couple years ago i swapped the engine with a hole in the block for one that had been used in something else i spent an 8 hour day doing the swap. i had access to an excavator and a transmission jack so i could leave the trans under the truck.
Take a look at the alternator mounting bracketry, i have seen the rear twisted mounts crack and let the front mount bolts brake, if anything is loose in the mounting of the alternator you can have the squeak you describe.
the fuel pods are baffled and aluminum dot mc- 406 spec tanks one of those on the truck and one on a trailer should work fine for you but you aren't going to be responding very fast you are right that 5 to 600 gallons will be a heavy load for an lmtv and even one fuel pod in the back may...
i dont know what baffle balls are but i would imagine they will take up a lot of space dropping your quantity quite a bit. I would go with a couple 600 gallon fuel podds they are baffled and having multiple compartments will let you keep one podd full until the other one is empty limiting...
i would go with a lower trailer like a generator trailer or the 989 trailer . As im a tanker truck cdl holder i have to ask your tank is baffled, if you are running off road with a liquid load and a nonbaffled ASME tank, the slosh will likely flip your load over, this would be even worse in an...
A bunch of dredgers tried those to run suction dredges up here they found if they weren't able to get a proper load on them the valves would carbon up and the motor would do just what you described i would look at intake and exhaust chambers and see if they are restricted with carbon. On...
gvwr is determined by a few factors 1 axle and tire group springs braking capability and acceleration. there are others but these are the main factors.
