Iola Vintage Military Show swap, trade, need List 9-11 Aug 2013

I'm looking for: 1.) Frame and tent bag in good shape for a command tent. 2.) M101 trailer right hand (wood) stakeside and uprights for the top bows. I will also need the topbow cross parts. 3.) Sceptor diesel fuel can and a fuel can bracket. 4.) Antenna and mount for a M1009. I have the brush...

    Harmonic Balancer

I would make sure what kind of material the keys at the hardware store are made of. A plain steel key will not be rated for hardness and the vibration of the damper will peen the key in short order, causing a spin failure. A SAE No 8630 alloy steel key is better suited for the application...

Backfiring and not running without choke almost closed

You may want to look at the base gasket, there are three that are close but they don't allow vacuum to the accelerator pump properly. This would be a simple fix. Here is a link to the different gaskets: http://www.g741.org/PHPBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5348&p=41869&hilit=Carb+base+gasket#p41869 Bert

Backfiring and not running without choke almost closed

The TM callout for timing spec is wrong. This has been discussed many times on the G741 site. I would set timing to 4 degrees BTDC with a timing light and then fine tune it from there. I would also check your float height and make sure that it is NO lower than 5/64" below the top edge when...

    Post your m37 pictures

Hi John, That is a good looking M37. It looks like it had a winch at one time because I can see the hole in the floor has been opened up and you still have the locking tab in place. Is the PTO still on the tranny or is that gone to? You should start looking for a longer shifter handle also...

My completed M37... Finally... (well never *really* completed)

Frank, Do you have room by the chopper for the sub or are you looking to free up a little space in the yard? I can be there in 45 minutes with the heavy equipment if needed. Bert

Bad ground. I just cleaned all of the ground locations that I could find last Saturday while I was working on my 09 and my fuel gauge started to work properly. Bert

Siebel, Nice looking truck to start with, and it runs. Make sure to stop over on the G741.Org site and get it set up in the registry. There is a wealth of knowledge on that site specifically about M37s. Bert
