I just checked my parts tm and it shows the solid type motor stand in the book.So it looks like either one would work. You may have to adjust the length of the coupler.
Is this what you are looking for? I don't know if I can get any more or not but at least we can get dimensions. I would think that the coupler would be easier to make than the stand.
I was going for the one in Richmond until it went beyond my weekly allowance. By time I got the wife off of the computer to bid on those two down there, the sale was over. I need me a new secretary. Nice score.
Just to clerify, all lights on the 915's through 920's are 12 volt. The only things that are 24 volts are the starter, heaters for the cat trans, and military trailer wiring. Like was said earlier, the alternator is a 12 volt alternator with a rectifier for 24 volts that keeps the top side...
Very nice Brad. I wish I could get mine painted up. I just took it on its first "legal" trip since I got historical plates and all. Front wheel bearing failed about 5 miles from home. Hard to believe that a truck with 6000 miles on it would have bad bearings. I guess i should have figured it was...
Hey Eco. Just curious if that applies to out-of-staters too. I just talked to the OHP about cdl stuff and they said that I could drive a semi truck for non-business purposes without a cdl (although I may be questioned and have to prove non-comm) but if I were to go out of state, I may have to...
After owning it for 12 years,I hated to see it go. But I am sure it is in good hands. If it had the Mack in it,it would have stayed. Had to make room for the M51A2 dump coming this way. Hopefully he will buy many more to fill his yard...hint hint.
I believe that all cy 1986 and newer 800 series trucks ( new or rebuilt I don't know) had air brakes. Just read the end use identification on an air brake part on GL.
Hi Joe. Nice score. I think you will like it. I hauled mine with the M275. Flat and level was fine but I was pulling hills in third gear. Not fun when semi's were coming up on me at 60+ mph. It is a really neat trailer.Hopefully the side curtains are tucked away in it somewhere. The shelves are...
Man, I am off the site for a couple of days and missed all of the excitement. I hope someone cleaned Gimp up after that. That smell is no fun around a camp fire :-P. I'll have to make it to the next one for sure.
There is nothing special about the wheels to make them ctis. They just have a different size valve stem assemble to work with the ctis hoses. Here are a couple of pictures of the regular A3 wheel plumbing and an A3 wheel with a regular valve stem.
I have one of the EMP Chevys that was a BorderPatrol truck. should paint it OD but?..... Hey Kenny, did you see any stencil marks one the doors of that new truck so GL knows where to smash it with a fork lift? That is a cool truck.
Finally got pictures of the 2 trucks I have with brush gaurds. After looking at them, they are probably just commercial units.I got the trucks from a guy who got them from a friend that got them from another friend that got them surplus that said that they might be government installed. Now if...
