    Pushing an M146

We typically chain the dolly to the trailer. This is usually done when backing doubles.

    Pushing an M146

The legs on a channel are not tall enough. The channel and bumper on my tractor were both bent.

    Different Shipping Company Than FastTrack?

The options vary depending on what you are looking at. Depending on which base or location it is at there might be Simone here who can get it picked up for you.

    Pushing an M146

One trick when pushing or backing a dolly is to use two chains to lock out one of the pivot points.

    Pushing an M146

A flat plate is relatively weak. It would be better add a horizontal reinforcement on the top and bottom of the plate. The angle braces used on the rear will be hard to duplicate due to the radiator.

Just got the reg and plate for my M931A2 from the Ca. DMV

It looks like an S-280 type of shelter. I have one that I purchased for some parts. After they are removed I would consider selling it. To qualify as a RV, housecar, in California the shelter needs to be modified for human habitation and have a list of required features.

    Air Bag rear suspension

On a bobbed truck it would work well and you could use any commercial truck suspension. If you get a suspension from a wrecking yard, plan on replacing the bags and get a frame clip so you can use the old frame as a drilling template. On a three axle truck the standard civilian truck...

    Air Leak Woes

If you are only going to get a Class B you should remove the pintle hook and trailer air fittings from the truck. With them still on the truck an officer can write you a ticket for driving out of class because the truck is set up to tow a trailer over 10,000 lbs. It is simply how the officer...

Schutt Industries 1CSL0-SLC-T-1000 Self Loading Trailer

Decking over the trailer will probably present several problems. The trailer is designed for a uniform load from a container. A vehicle will load the trailer at a small number of points under the tires. This change in loading could adversely affect the structural integrity of the trailer. One...

    Air Leak Woes

Real men get a Class A, with endorsements. I have known quite a few people that originally got there Class B and later had to do it all over again to get the Class A. There is only one guy I know that has not wanted or needed a Class A after getting his Class B.

    Air Leak Woes

They are a very easy truck to drive. I would not consider them to be a beast. But then again I was driving big trucks before there was a CDL requirement. I learned to float gears on a twin stick. This truck has an Allison and power steering. The rule of thumb has been if the air leaks down...

    Air Leak Woes

The COLA test is part of the CDL training. A class b CDL is required to operate a three axle vehicle that has a GVW over 6,000 lbs, yes 6,000, in California
