If you have a newer panel with at least two open spaces next to the main breaker you can probably install an interlock kit cheaper and easier than the transfer switch. They only catch is you should get an electrical permit, or have a licensed electrician install it.

Yes the cast brackets will brake. I used my M101 as a dump trailer for over 10 years before they broke.

The goverment has drastically under rated these trucks compared to a civilian truck.
In the construction industry they typically put a 4,500 gallon tank on them.
On the highway it is up to your state weather you have to stick to the data plate.
