M109 Engine Knock and rough running

That sounds like a whole lot of trouble. I would NOT run that engine again. Take off the sump and look for a fractured piston before any more damage ensues. My 1/2 penne'th.

    Air over hydraulic brake problem

The problem you are experiencing is most likely with the air pack Which is the 'power assistance' on your trucks braking system. Try sitting in the cab engine off, NO AIR PRESSURE. press the brake pedal. Start the engine and build up the air in the system. Now press the brake pedal. Any...

HOT HOT HOT (the weather not the trucks).

So come the weekend, we go to a show (classic car meeting (invited)), And convoy there with My M54, a Deuce, and the CCKW now painted 'Navy Style'. As the event is always jam packed and roads gridlocked we set off at 6-30 A.M. We arrive and the entrance to the park was something else...

    Happiness iz Hoses

After failed promises find and dispatch fire hoses or connectors to suit, and many many quotes to engineer and or tig weld 'something' to fit U.S. to British fire hoses to my M45 530C later, I had almost given up hope of making something up to suit. Ebay and much cost in shipping vat and customs...

I like "it's your truck" do what as want.

Flathead V8 circa 1943 (a little larger than the V8 pilot unit) the twin radiator hoses and distributor on the front of the engine is a giveaway, and so the Engines (2?) were used in some tanks, the Stuart, and I believe some were in the W.O.T. Truck.

pee, ess! That engine was out of an 'armoured thingy' and dated 1943. Most appropriate I thought.

I like "it's your truck" do what as want.

Well last weekend I changed out the axles springs windscreen on my 1942 jeep 'of many many many years'. Today I thought to service my other 1943 Willys jeep. I thought a plug needed cleaning..But, I (thought easier!) to put another engine in! (as you do?). Oh, and 700x16 tires. Still a bit...

    Rear square drive studs

When I fitted out my M35A2 with AEC Militant wheels and tires (200x20) I did not use the square st5uds, that is unsafe. I made 'Adaptor plates' to fit the original 6 studs, Using the original wheel nuts as well.and the plates (chamfered) carried the 10 stud AEC wheels. Using chamfered nuts and...
