    The best treads ALWAYS go on the steer wheels. On the rears go as near to matching tread wear as practicable on BOTH sides of the SAME axle.

So, I disconnected the drop arm and counted the full turns lock to lock. The counted half way back. centred the wheels to the steering wheel...

    Doing the check rusty's way is the correct way. (never mind we did/do) it. Beware, (Especially on a test rig) Because, YES, a firing injector WILL 'squirt' clear through a hand. Or.. fill it with diesel. On reflection..'there's ways and there's ways. BE SAFE.

    Hydraulic pressure in this case 'collapses' immediately when there is a leak. (as) you can not compress oil. (and) over the (many) years we have checked everything and anything.

    They, (any 24 volt truck system) Has negative grounding. A lot of cars used to be positive earth (ground) and that resulted in excessive corrosion at the chassis. Manufacturers then reverted back to Negative ground. (which alleviated the problem). Your truck is (very definitely) Negative...

    'Because running from the rear (Last) battery would flash 24 volts if something shorted to ground'. Ground (anywhere) And There will always only be 12 volts using the first battery.
