I had 9 in the yard at one time, but we are down to only 4 now. (might be a M185 in there, too). The last bob deuce I just did was a M109a3 also. I put the box at the house For Michelle to use as a garden shed!
Here is a partial pic from today-- I have one more out back-
Roger that! I will be callin'. I missed a truck I was looking at in South Dakota. I basically put a neussance bid on it and it went by me quickly. I guess I could run the Michelin's if you got a couple. It's my Mom's birthday tomorrow so I may not get a chance to call then but will be in...
You are one of my best customers!!! It did not take much "selling" on my part.:-D
We sold 3 deuces today, partly because I have been threatening to raise my low prices a bit after the new year. I am starting to get low on A2s! Only have 7-8 left. I will hook you up the best I can- just let...
You probably wouldnt have to pay to get the 1600s on the HEMTT wheels--- we do it for free (as I would assume most anyplace selling the wheels and tires would). Or, you can do it yourself----takes a little time, but it is not difficult.
Those are the Goodyear MVT. They have become very popular lately. We used to sell many more of the XMLs, but lately seems everyone has been wanting the MVTs.
I should get some better pics of them---
We were running and rearranging some of the trucks in the yard today and I took a few pics. The A3 seemed to really stand out amongst the "little" Deuces with it's tall hood and tall tires!!!
Carry on.
:-D
Thank you for helping to keep us honest! We try to think outside the box and some ideas work better than others. But, I dont want anyone thinking that we dont at least clean and grind before welding!LOL;-)
I actually have another rear axle already flipped for this truck. I havent switched it as of yet because I am not 100% sure the tires will clear with this tire/wheel combo. The inner fenderwell/bed of the M105 bed is going to be close with the hubs flipped and the stock wheel/14.00 tire...
Pretty much a good contact patch- I still need to adjust pressure in that pic- there, they have 50psi in front, and 80psi in rear (too much)
They also surprisingly steer easier than the 9.00 NDTs. But thats on a bobbed truck.
Trust me, no welds are made unless it is ground to clean metal. One of the things that I didnt mention is how this build took extra time because this particular frame was covered with a very tough coating of some kind. It took torching and then grinding to get it all off to prep for welding...
They do stick out--- I dont have a pic of this one (I'll get one later if I cant find one), but let me look for a pic of another truck that may show it better...
I was thinking the stock wheels were 7.5"...
We also sell converted HEMTT wheels that are 10" wide, but if you want to cheap out and use the stock wheels it can be done. I use new 11.00 or 13.00 tubes in them, and have no issues so far (probably about 50 14.00 on stock rims in the last couple...
Well, looks like all my research has come up with about a 70% Welding a frame is do-able, and about 30% is DONT DO IT.
I think it will be fine after seeing it done in person, and talking to a few experts.
In any event, this one IS welded and finished for now---
Here it is in all its glory-...
