What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I think it's common for them to be overlooked. I bent a spot bar trying to loosen one of mine up to disassemble and lube.

24V Battery Charger Questions, who makes a good one?

Another vote for NOCO Genius. I have a few of them and all do what they do, quite well.

I'm surprised by this. My dealings with them has always been exemplary.

    Aftermarket LED lighting for HMMWV

Now for some useless info regarding the "evil" side effect of the much brighter and much more efficient LEDs. Light pollution. Studies are showing that because their lifespan and miniscule operating costs, more folks are "Leaving the Lights On". Can't make this stuff up.

M105 axle assembly to accommodate dish-out combat wheels

If I follow this right, you want to run A3 rims flipped on an M105? Kindly share what you're looking to gain? The M200 axle is likely narrower.

    Aftermarket LED lighting for HMMWV

I had a bunch of little boards with 3528 LEDs. They were super for a minute then ceased to function. I find LEDs very useful. Maybe not so much as headlights but they're virtually limitless when it comes to compartments lights. Shoot, I even have them in my trailer. It has a tiny battery and...

    700R4 TV cable bracket substitute?

Diesel is very specific. Cables can be dealt with by length but the bracket for the 6.2 is used to maintain the correct geometry. Honestly, it could be tabbed up.

Any reason I would have 2 lift pumps?

If the original posters truck has a turbo, that explains the the electric pumps. If it's a stock N/A then the mech pump is plenty adequate and very reliable.

M939 Potential Junkyard Rescue Need Advice

If we have any scrappers here, no offense meant with my statement. I find that junkyard operators are a fickle portion of society. If what they feel they have is gold, they would rather melt if than give you a fair price. Most that I've dealt with figure that if you asked, you need it and...

    Opinions on M1009 Tires

Different animal but I have 6 duratracs on my SECM and they work great,.especially in the snow. I have BFG KM2s on my M1010 and have about 3500 miles on them. Rather have duratracs but they didn't make them in the 255/85R16.

CC 14 bolt. Dually benefits without obnoxious width. Fitted with a Detroit NoSpin. Works great for sure.

    deuce dump truck bed

The M47 was also a deuce dump. It had a narrower bed with taller sides. The M47, M59 and M342A2 all were classified as the same yardage beds.

That rail on the ambulance box is in my way as well. I did the. CC swap on my SECM and notched the similarr rail on it. I've lost interest in my ambulance and if I ever get unlazy, it will show up in the classifieds.
