If the in tank pump pushes fuel out of the bleeder screw on the final filter at a high rate then it's working. If the air leak problem continues I'd keep looking at all the gaskets since they are the only thing changed from back before the air leak started.
I've got a sister who has lived in...
DH has it right. The tank pump pushes fuel and the injector pump tends to pull it. If you have air in the system without a visible fuel leak you likely have a non functioning fuel pump and a leak at the filter gaskets.
Turn the master power switch on without the engine running and you should...
Mike, if you can get to it and have a Dremel, Foredom or pneumatic cutoff tool you can try cutting most of the way through the nut but not quite to the threads in a couple of places. Then put heat on it again and try to crank it off. The relief cut allows the nut to flex and break the grip...
I this case, the condition code is meaningless. Even an inspection may not help much. A truck with a clean straight body and low miles may need a transmission overhaul to move under it's own power or have a cracked block that won't show up to an inspection.
If you buy one from GL you have...
If 6 are flat terminals in a circle pattern with a round center post it is a 7 wire RV connector. Very common for bigger trailers with electric brakes and brake system battery to charge etc. You can get a 7 wire RV to 4 wire flat adaptor.
Unless you have a truck with 24 volt trailer...
This won't help much. Unlike a gas engine the diesels don't have a throttle plate in a carb or throttle body.
On a gas engine when you go to idle and the throttle plate closes the pistons are pulling against a partial vacuum on each intake downstroke. That partial vacuum has the effect of...
My best looking truck, a sharp M35A2C, has been belly up with the buzzards circling it for a while. I swapped an air shift transfer case into it from a high mileage truck and it promptly croaked.
I got a good takeout transfer case from D8Dave last week and got around to putting it in...
I use a length of half inch high strength key stock. Drive it in with a hammer, put a lot of heat on the area around the plug (you want the pumpkin to expand, not the plug) and grip the key stock close to the plug with a 12" adjustable wrench. If that doesn't work. follow the above advice and...
From memory, the speedo cable goes to the tail of the transmission and on the M1009 it has a little gear box "adapter" that changes the reading of the speedo due to the axle gear ratio being different from the rest of the fleet. I seem to see a mental picture, in a darl corner of my brain cell...
What are the rated CFM and at what pressure for your compressor and the tool? What diameter and length of hose?
At the risk of preaching to the choir....
Many folks don't understand is the rating of tools as opposed to the sizing of compressors and hoses. If you look at the tool specs and...
The fact that the drawers are secured open gives me great hope that they are correctly set to the industry (and military) standard storage combination of 50-25-50.
Most of those, particularly the ones from the last 30 years, had Mosler 302 od 302K locks. They are a lot smoother than the S&G...
It's not just the weight of the axle you are working against but the resistance of the springs and torque rods trying to do their job in keeping all four rears pressed down onto the ground. A 3-1/2 ton jack will work fine as long as the ground is level. Most don't have enough stiffness in the...
Mike, there are some pretty fine solids in stain. I think it's be a big chance to take with some possible expensive results.
How are you two doing?
Lance
I'd likely avoid using the ones with the exposed cord even if repaier but why not load them up and pay a few bucks to a heavy truck inspection shop to give you a real answer?

Well, we didn't get any pics of the snow but Nancy did at home. Also, over to the NE of us they got 1-2 FEET of snow running over into Vermont. I guess the last time they got 2 feet this late was 1874.
So far, the only things to deal with are a rotted through exhaust J-pipe and both rear...
