After comparing the part numbers, it seems that the M200A1 hub / drum assembly has no parts in common with the deuce. However there are many parts used in the M332 hub / drum assembly so I'll hang on to these for that purpose. Thanks DB.
That's what I've been doing since I posted this--checking the TM's. I have found the part of the M200A1 TM that has the codes and part numbers for each of the parts, but apparently I don't have the deuce TM that lists these part numbers. I'll keep looking but if anyone knows exactly which deuce...
I'm in the process of taking these apart and hopefully some parts I'll be able to tell by looking but I wonder if anyone knows which, if any, components are the same as the deuce? For example wheel cylinders? brake shoes? etc.
Bumping an old thread, I know, but similar question. The M200A1 springs measure the same as the deuce front leaf springs (4'). Also it seems that the trailer springs have more...uh, "leaves" or plates in them.
Suitable swap?
Knowing that the truck is 13,000 lbs empty, I would think 10,000...
The Interstate batteries in my deuce said "2007" on them when I picked it up a year ago this week. They died over the summer of 2010 and were replaced by Wal Mart batteries that are so far doing great. Solargizer is in effect also (as it was when I got it).
This seems like the latest insurance thread so I'll throw my experience in the ring:
KY Farm Bureau wants $335 per six months
State Farm wants $225 per six months (IF they'll cover it, which they haven't said yet)
Geico won't touch it
Safeway won't touch it
Met Life won't touch it
waiting to...
Do we have a TM for the M200A1? THe tech manuals aren't exactly easy to search here...
I'm wondering how to get the leaf springs off without them...springing.
