    M200A1 data plates--anyone want?

I bought a M200A1 and just recovered it yesterday. I'm going to strip off all the parts and scrap the frame. Does anyone want the data plates? They look to be screwed on and only a little rust. I will send free of charge to anyone who wants them.

    I Love My Truck

I've always been tempted to do that, but I don't want $5 worth of food and a big hidden lugie. Oh, and back on topic I'm driving my truck more these days as well. Haven't tried a drive-thru yet, though. Tight turn!

Heating the back of my deuce

When you say "killed," you mean ran out or damaged in some way?

Best Thing You've Found in Your CUCV

Picked up some MOLLE packs at Lockbourne a couple weeks ago and found a few odds and ends in them. Most surprising was a catheter. New in the wrapper, thank goodness.

    Bigger driver in a Deuce

I'm 6'7" and 250 lbs. If I'm not the biggest guy here, I'm awful close. Driving the deuce is not uncomfortable. It's not quite as roomy as a pickup truck but it's better than my wife's Explorer was (the one that didn't have a tilt-wheel). When I turn that big wheel I'm glad my arms are as...

I'm going to Lockbourne on Friday 9/24

If anyone needs anything picked up, I have an appointment at 8 am on Friday (this week!) I will be in a midsize suv so I don't have a ton of room but if you need something small picked up I can help!

    My first parade

There was a no-candy rule at this one for that very reason. And I did use the floor pedal, not the hand throttle, but ours must have been a slower-speed parade 'cause low-range first gear did just fine. Almost at idle.

    Metal shavings in the transmission

Thanks DB, yeah of course mine does have that but mine is sunk flush with no exposed threads and it's been painted over, so it's harder to ID. But no, that's not the plug I removed. I was nervous because if I HAD removed the drain plug then it would have been clearly low on oil! But no, mine has...

    Metal shavings in the transmission

I'd love to see a pic, because I couldn't find a drain plug. At least not one that looked like every other drain plug on the vehicle.

That place says it's in Maine...cool though.

    Ha! Yep.

    My first parade

When I bought the deuce I never really planned on doing parades. But a local guy who knows I have one called and asked if I would drive the local Marine Corps veterans in the Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival parade. What an honor. I had such a blast. I'll attach a couple pics. The guy who called...

    Metal shavings in the transmission

Good deal, thanks guys. Most of it was powdery sludge but there may have been a piece or two getting close to 1/4 pinkie fingernail size. But not quite.

    Metal shavings in the transmission

I was checking the fluid levels in all my differentials and trans. case and transmission today. The transmission I don't think I had ever checked before. The fill plug has a magnet on it, and there were quite a few metal shavings stuck to this magnet. I cleaned them off as best I could before...

Got the rifle holder mounted today

I would not try to hang a loaded pistol in this rig. Anyway that's what holsters are for. The space really isn't too bad, but then again my most frequent passenger is 9 years old. Not like I'm going to leave the rifles in there all the time, though.

    diesel/gas mix in a deuce

While we're talking about mixes and blends...I assume synthetic oil is OK in the fuel tank in the same ratios as regular WMO?

From the driver's side? Change your name to Daddy Longlegs!

Got the rifle holder mounted today

Very nice Oxman. I hadn't even thought about optics but looks like yours are not hitting anything. I only tried my plain-jane rifles so far. Good to see!

Got the rifle holder mounted today

Wow I'm kinda surprised at the dummy rifle comments. Never thought of that; no reason to.
