We plan on being there in my wife's ( just ask her! ) 923. Our first 100 mile journey will be an adventure. We're looking forward to meeting fellow Carolinians and all others. I got with Adam yesterday and a stop at Sam's for diesel and chips is in order. We will be heading down I 26 from the...
I did research it but I want a regular key to put on my key rings. Plus I already have a new switch and relay from another project; just wanted to use them.
I want to install a generic keyed start-run switch in my 923. I want power off to the battery switch unless the keyed switch is on. Looking at TM 9-2320-272-24-4, would wire 81A going to the battery switch be my best choice? Or 81 coming from the starter solenoid? I have a constant duty 24 volt...
Thank you so much for the replies. I sold my Deuce 3 weeks ago and just can't get over it. My wife claimed it was " Her truck " and she misses it too. I might as well face the fact that I will always have one from now on.
I'm considering bidding on a M923 which will be my first experience with GL. The ad doesn't state who made the truck and what year. I asked GL through email if they could tell me when the truck was built and by whom. Their reply was " Data plate does not indicate date of manufacture or...
Anyone have the civilian part number and store availability for the return spring on the shoes for a deuce? I opened up my rear axle for a cylinder change and found a few small pieces leftover where it had exploded. Hate to wait a week+ on mailorder.
Thanks.
I'm attempting pictures to better explain.
I was under the impression that the straps with the plastic hooks ( white ones ) are for securing the rear panel to the tabs on the outside after being rolled up. The other photos show the shorter ones ( tan ones ) which fit around the bow but...
This cover has 3 straps with steel buckles that I am referring to that actually line up with the rear bow but when secured are very loose around the bow. It has 3 other straps with plastic hooks that hold the rear curtain rolled up. These hooks fasten into the loops on the outside. I was hoping...
I just installed a new tan vinyl cargo cover and have 2 questions for those wiser than I. How do you secure the 3 steel-buckled straps over the rear bow when they appear to be three times too long? And what are the 4 square ports or windows ( 2 forward, 2 aft) that can be somewhat opened and...
Thanks for the info and I'll look at it this evening. The truck had been sitting for a long time and could have some corrosion quite easily. It sure started without any effort to my surprise and runs like a top.
I just started working on the 2nd of my two newly aquired dueces this past weekend and found out that it won't shift into reverse or first; like it's locked out. The stick comes over against the spring pressure but I can't get it to move forward or backwards into either gear. The others are...
Any of you guys like to shoot? I'm an avid Class 3 shooter and would like to meet others that would like to get together and send a few rounds downrange. Headed to a MG shoot/cookout tomorow in Clinton. I'm taking the Deuce of course.
