I don't want to get into a big dialogue on an old thread. I have asked Robert (Al Harvey) to take over as CC this year. We will have discussions on set up as we open the new thread. It will be MUCH better organized this year. But lets not get too much going here.
Sad day this week for me, let "Kenny" go to a new caretaker. I couldn't watch it drive away but the new owner, a Marine, currently assigned to Marine 1 sure was happy. Hoping he enjoys it as much as I did.....
We will be starting the thread for the Denton Convoy soon. Last year 34+ trucks, a few communication errors (but we all ended up where we needed to be) that will be corrected was a BLAST. A few changes will be happening......as much as Blake loves this outing, due to some potential scheduling...
When I was assigned to McChord AFB in the late 90s my unit had several that we used all over the base. Very fun to drive. That's why I bought one. Fills the gap between the 4 wheeler and a truck quite nicely.
Charged up the two low batteries. Added 6 missing relays in. Hit the button and fired right up. I don't even think it turned a full revolution. Everything seems to be working well, except when I release the parking brake, it's blowing air out of the emergency front glad hand and the service side...
I have held on to a few hotshot drivers' numbers that have provided excellent service to me. I originally found them through U-ship and independent brokers. I will deal with them directly. As far as U-ship I have had only good experiences. I'm sure with anything that has that many transactions...
its important to note the tense of the verbage. "the Humvee (sic) is not roadworthy, and the Humvee (sic) is for off highway use only" This is a current tense, and not a future tense. It relates to the current state of the vehicle not a future state. These lawyers knew exactly what they were...
