    Post up what you eventually did, A) to get it running, And b) to eliminate the noise. Some deuces will run without the in tank pump, Quite a few will not. So, As rusty says, 'First, Get it running@..Was it the in tank pump?...And go from there. We are waiting with baited breaths!.

    That IS the way to go!. Could never see the reason for STP or Lucas oil, as all they do is destroy the "structure" of the (heavily researched) oils! If you really 'want' thicker oil, Buy it. Rotella straight 50 in mine. (though with molislip added).

    My 530C has 3 tanks standard and an extra I fitted to assist in the air power steering. Everything works fine. And it is quite possible to turn the wheels lock to lock stationary. (with a 'quite satisfactory(hiss)). Sound.

    charging or compressor belts. Turbo. The in tank pump it wont be. As you would surley have checked this easily by opening the fuel tank filler cap.
