hook up all of your battery cables except your ground. Attach a test light to the ground and then attach it to the battery. Disconnect stuff like. Alternators, starters. until the light goes out. that will be your culprit. I just went through this with my 1028.
I asked that question a long time ago. Someone told me its the way how they did the wiring. As you probably know civi's steering columns are a direct replacement
OK i guess i was right when i said earlier that the 83 might have a different wiring harness. It is in fact a neutral safety switch. I first un-pluged it and it would not start in any gear. Hooked it pack up and it worked. It has nothing to do with the backup lights because nothing was...
the last picture is from a 85 civi k10. I currently have a 10/83 m1028 and 1028. and tons of parts so if you have any other questions let me know. I wish i still have my blazer that was completely unmolested.
So doghead are you saying you can't find these wires next to the back up lights on...
yep just went out to my truck, i wasn't able to see the other wires. it is Neutral safety next to backup. I had to move a lot of wires to the side in order to see it
Another thing that is weird is on my m1028 both are disconnected and was also wondering what the yellow and purple were, because they did not look familiar.
Ok now I am getting a little confused. Now that I think about it Isn't the back up lights a blue and a green. It was at least 2 years ago when I messed with my blazer and i remembering different wires than My 08. Anywho the wires yellow and purple with white tracer are hooked up at the bottom...
