I am not looking for an alternative fuel here, I'm fine with regular diesel, I am just looking for an additive, other than wvo, that would help restore the lubricity of the ULSD.
I was reading up on ULSD and LSD, and I got me wondering what I should be adding to my fuel to make sure it has plenty of lubrication for the pumps and all.
What are you guys running for additive for fuel? Head on a diesel forum that people are adding 2 cycle oil at a 128:1 ratio for a tank.
Well, its not important to me... But I can see how people on here that buy a humvee for the historical aspect would want to do something like this.
I might get air one of these days if I take another "jeep hill" around the cascades and flip over backwards... I swear those things keep getting...
I think it's less of a period correct thing as a certain model correct thing. While it may run a lot better, the m1025s never had a turbo on them... as far as I know. Just one example.
Cool, the intake is indeed different. I thought I saw somewhere that maybe the heads were slightly different, but I'm not the person to talk to about that
I'd say get the GEP engine and remove the turbo and detune it. GEP blocks are much better than the 6.2.
I'll buy the turbo parts you take...
So you have the opportunity to get a Turbo GEP 6.5 and want to strip it down and turn it into a NA? Why? Cause I'll take the turbo parts off ya if you don't want them. :-D
I believe that the exhaust and intake manifolds are different. There are probably more things that differ, others can...
I have the locking door latches and the keyed ignition and I use the steering lock, and I feel pretty safe about the truck, but I always make sure to leave nothing loose inside.
So lets say a thief comes along and I happen to leave my door unlocked and my steering wheeling unlocked. And lets...
I drove 500 miles
then did this:

then drove another 500 miles with a 3 speed. You'll be completely fine, always have a plan b tho.
So I've had my truck for a year now, been awesome and I have a couple things to ask you guys.
1. I had a 6.5 injection pump installed... must have been 3 months ago now. I had replaced my glow plugs three days ago, 4 of them weren't working. But I think I'm going crazy or deaf because between...
The red dot unit can be mounted anywhere you like. For me, I'm mounting it between the two rear seats down low so I can still see out my back window. I've seen people mount them horizontal right behind the radio deck, or standing up in that spot.
When mounted low, they are barely taller than...
That is almost 100% custom install. There are way easier setups that work
If ya want a/c just get a red dot kit. They are plug and play with (most) any configuration humvee. I am currently setting up one that is all red dot except for a civi condenser which I'm throwing on the radiator stack...
It looks like you didn't use the stock bracket that attaches the tube to the windshield. Looks like you just used a non load bearing piece of metal? Does the tube hold itself up pretty well?
So I should stay away from the 6.5 injectors? the 6.5 IP I got was rated for 165 hp, I'm guessing the 6.5 injectors would really turn up the heat though.
