How do you stop a m809 if the brakes fail?

Make a trap door in the floor....

M923a1 front axle in the rear

IDK about this statement, GM made 1/2 ton pick ups that had rear steering and they were not locked out, it worked both at low and highway speeds, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadrasteer

M939A2 lift pump replacement - part number 3936316

The cap on the inlet is interchangeable. You can swap the 3/4 pipe one to the new pump, just be careful, big spring pressure there. Also, there is a screen inside the cap that is the inlet. I have seen it plug with debris and give the symptom of a failed lift pump but in reality, there is just a...

M923 nhc250 replaced injector pump still no joy!

All, a bit longer than that. I hear ya on the rain! It has been pouring here for two days. No need to pull the boxes, loosen and pull the injector adjuster, flop the lever back and then pull the hold downs and injectors....don't drop the hold down bolts down the push tube cavity!

Jack and stand capacities for 5 tons

I had a 20 ton air/hyd HF jack. It worked great for me, I gave it to another SS member by me after I sold my truck, he had it fail on him, using it on a M916.

    Steelsoldiers’ BIG M756A2 Project!

Very cool, looking fwd to seeing more pics of it!

M923 nhc250 replaced injector pump still no joy!

No, injection is done by the camshaft lifting a push tube, pushing up on a rocker and the rocker pushing a plunger down into the cup of the injector, no pop off like a bosch system, just the action of the plunger forcing the trapped low pressure fuel through 7 microscopic holes on the end of the...

M923 nhc250 replaced injector pump still no joy!

Ahh, I see it, it is a 2 PSI check valve....no idea why it would be put there. Those are usually installed if the fuel system....tank and plumbing, are higher than the engine....cranes, boats, industrial stuff. From all you have done and the cranking pressure, IMHO, it is toward the injector...

What bypass fitting are you referencing? I could not see what you did in the pic with the circled things.

    M35a2 Airpack brass

None of the fittings are BSP, that is Brittish Standard Pipe. All are NTP to inverted flare

    R.I.P.--73M819--Ron Harris

Wow, today is the first time I saw this. I have no words. I never met Ron, but have had alot of interaction here on SS with him. It feels like a kick in the gut, like when Devin passed, djfreema...I think of him often, well, daily. I will think of Ron often and say a kind word daily. I honestly...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I have a thermal switch for this, can be wired NO or NC!

M923 nhc250 replaced injector pump still no joy!

There should be no measurable fuel pressure when cranking or at idle. The only way to get that is to install an orificed test fitting on the outlet of the pump causing the pump to see a demand for fuel. This bothered me enough to call a guy I worked with that did nothing but pumps for 22 of the...

Question: Could I convert a 6bt marine cummins to a normal 6bt for a deuce?

Swirl factor is cast into the head. On 2 valve heads it is marked on the head, cast into it, located on the intake side, front top, where an A/C mount would bolt, S1, S2 and S3. I forget about 4 valve heads.

Question: Could I convert a 6bt marine cummins to a normal 6bt for a deuce?

Heads are different too, swirl factor is different. You'd need the pump gone thru and set it to an automotive style governor. Oil pans are a flat aluminum type, that would need changing to clear the front axle along with the oil pick up. So basically you would need a head, pistons, exhaust...

    First Time Armour Buyer help

Old stuff, half tracks, scout cars, wheeled stuff, parts are expensive, the tracks are getting scarce and VERY expensive. Parts for these two vehicles are drying up fast. As for tracked stuff, you should check with your local law makers, it is not possible to drive full track vehicles, rubber or...
