6.2 hummer exhaust manifold on 1009

This pic was before the hydro assist, the cylinder is behind the tie rod. When at full flex there Is very little room.

6.2 hummer exhaust manifold on 1009

My best chance to make that work is with some oval pipe about 1.5 inches thick for the 6 inch section above the axle. And I would have to move my Hydraulic assist cylinder and things would probably still touch at full flex. I have cross over - high steer with hydro assist. My tie rod, hydro...

6.2 hummer exhaust manifold on 1009

I am not aware of a banks cross over kit that comes with a new drivers side manifold. All use the stock manifold which exits behind the front axle. I have built my rig with very tight tolerances and there is not enough room to get past the axle. I am trying to build a cross over that is in...

    Static Pinion Angle Thoughts?

I do not know why the springs you have are that far off. I believe the shackle flip gets you between 6 and 8 degrees of pinion rotation upward. With the shackle flip you almost always have to go to cv or you end up shimming down and negate the reason for the shackle flip. I know a lot of...

    Static Pinion Angle Thoughts?

do yourself a favor and call ORD. get new front springs and shackle flip the back, no shims needed. IF all you want is 33's go with 2 iches but can't do shackle flip or future cross over unless you go 4

6.2 hummer exhaust manifold on 1009

Got to work on the truck Saturday, I was like a kid in the candy store with all my new parts. I had a let down when the elbow I purchased came the wrong size. I purchased a 2.5 inch and they sent a 3 inch. A positive side to it was the 3 inch would barely fit, it did touch the banjo fitting...

    tubo gauge pod bracket

Got to work on the truck Saturday. They sent the wrong size elbow for my manifold so I had to work on other things while I get it changed. I received my gauges and pods for my banks turbo add so I went to work deciding where to put them. I wanted them in eyesight with all may gauges and not...

    Static Pinion Angle Thoughts?

The best money you could spend is to send those springs back and get your money back. Go buy front 4 inch tough country ez rides from ord. get the shackle flip and use your stock rear springs. You are still going to have a t-case problem. The best you can do is go fixed yoke but if not you...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

looks like trouble to me, we cant see where the wires connect on the battery you should not have any wires on the resistor if you bypassed it. at this time you are about to burn some stuff up once the glow plugs turn off. a lot of things are going to get more than 12volts.

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

I plan to make an engine swap in the near future, I want to get the rest of my build done first. Keep us posted on the intake install. I plan to use the 6500. Doing a cummins or d-max is not worth the money and a 1009 does not need that much. If the 6.2 or turbo intake does not work, It would...

Help needed to stop me throwing money at my CUCV, Hopping/Vibration

I chased the same vabration problem and it was the hubs and studs. The studs are pressed though the drun/rotor and hub, they can get out of alignment and bent. I replaced all four of my hubs because all were bad. I believe they picked the truck up pretty high before dropping it with the fork...

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

http://leroydiesel.com/products/amg-optimizer-long-block/ I think I pasted the wrong link. They have both the P400 and optimizer. they call one GEP optimizer and the other GEP p400. They have an oil pan supposedly for either to fit the square body. I am just looking for a motor with a...

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

So what I need to get is a GEP turbo 6.5 long block. put a 6.5 manual IP. From the 6.2 I use the rocker arms, intake, my banks exhaust manifold, all my alternators and brackets unless I find the special serpentine system. I then just put on a bigger banks turbo That sounds too simple, what...

    CUCV Mystery part?

    M1009 starting problems

If you have a test light with some wire you can check the plugs. Unplug the wire from plug. connect test light clip end to the green wire. make a ground wire and extend it to the test light probe which you clamp in a place where you can see it when operating the ignition. if you loosen an...

M1007 - CUCV Suburban Clone Build Thread

I am watching. I want to upgrade to a 6.5 gep but was hoping to take everything from my 6.2 and put it on the 6.5 long block. I think I would need a different IP but everything else should bolt up. I have a banks turbo. I want to use the same manifolds if I can. Not sure how a banks 6.2 turbo...
