i like the bed, i would rather have that than the stock bed. no fenders to get nocked off. It looks like a bed from a military trailer.
I think you could get more work out of that bed than stock.
It does drop the resale value some for a collector but for someone looking for a work truck, it...
The price is not to far out of line. It looks stock and to be in good condition. with the new rubber I would put it at 9k at least.
The truck will be slow, 55 to 60. He is getting 9mpg because he is trying to run 70. at the 45 mph zone you should get close to 20mpg
It should be reliable and...
what part of town are you in. I have a friend in tomball a with body shop. he sprayed my 1009 for me. I did all the prep. I just wanted it done in a booth. I could not keep it clean enough to paint at my place.
not the cheapest but does good work. has done some very nice restorations.
I am...
most of my family is A&M graduates. My sister graduated in 90. she was an 'industrial distribution' major.
my cousin would have graduated the core in 87 or 88 but quit when he finished his junior year and never went back.
I was a freshman in 89, only made it one semester then went to blinn in...
I will wait until you get it finished. I am pretty busy right now with work and the purchase of an office in Bryan.
The office was an old car repair place and I get the three vehicle lifts that are in the building. I am going to keep one for sure if not two but will have one to get rid of...
Next to, beside and behind the starter you have: fuel line runs the frame rails next to start also the brake lines, front and one going to rear. you would know pretty quick if these were having problems. The tranny cooler lines turn before the starter and go to the driver side. The oil lines...
I second the 33's, you can go 35 without breaking axles but stay skinny if you can it does help. Skinny tires also help fuel mileage.
you do not need a lift for 33's you can do 2 inch and get 35's on it with no serious rubs. If you go with 35's I would at a minimum upgrade to stronger axle...
Has anyone used the 1aauto for the vent windows. I have a set of lmc rubber for the vent windows sitting on the shelf but because of the bad reviews I have not put them on. The only new seals I need are the vent windows. I used lmc on everything else (blazer) TOP, doors, side windows, with no...
easements vary of all kinds, if you have one for water then you should be able to do electric underground. It may only apply to underground or on ground use and not in the air.
1100 ft for a 125 amp service can be done in one 3 inch conduit. just the material should be less than $10 a foot...
brown wire goes to the big diagnostic plug under dash if you still have it. not sure which pin but that is where it goes. probably need a relay. All power switched on by ignition is 12 volt that I know of. 24 only does glow plugs and starter.
I do not believe running the negative the way you...
you will only get a sound change. no more HP's. The stock air cleaner is more restrictive than the exhaust. You probably will not get any noticeable HP from an exhaust change. Putting a cold air intake and getting more air in is about the best you can do and even that does very little.
In...
I really like the little Hondas. I run a 5500 btu roof top unit on my rv with one Honda eu2000. I have two and can parallel them together when more is needed but I mostly run just one. I can run one of my basement 15000 btu units with both plus the tv and any other accessories.
your cabin is...
do you have any directions on adjusting the steering box. I need to tackle mine. I have a brand new PSC ported box and it has way to much slop. I sent the first one back and the second one they sent was only slightly better. I figured it was a waste of time to try a third time so I decided to...
come to texas today where it will be 103 today in the shade. The trucks need a tranny cooler in the south. You are probably fine if you never leave CO. I know you have summers there but that is like spring here.
try turning your pump back to where it was before turning it up, see if that helps. Really sounds like the IP is not operating correctly. fuel delivery and air problems happen at all speeds and idle. You have something happing at specific rpms and loads on motor so this is probably an...
replace the fuel line between the filter and IP with some clear tubing. need something that will hold up to diesel. you will see bubbles it there is an air problem, use extra line so you can bring it up into a loop with a high point. This will make seeing the bubbles easier.
sounds more like...
I am with cucvrus. you are only having the problem when it gets warm and you are not loosing prime overnight. Normally filter base failure you loose prime overnight and you see some sign of a leak.
Personally I don not like the stock filter base and would change it anyway. The round screw on...
