Does anyone have a 3d CADD CAD model of the Deuce?

Over all these years I have done a lot of detail-measurements (and 2D-drawings) myself, so you may not have to start completely from zero. PM me if interested. G.

M925A1 Stuck on my own property. DOH!!! Winch to the rescue!

We have a very interesting TM in our library: VEHICLE RECOVERY OPERATIONS See what the military uses in cases like this one... G.

    m35 transmission noise..

Put in 1st gear, with clutch fully engaged and engine pulling @ say 600 rpm, it should be 2 knocks per second but only if... the large sliding gear (45T) had one (or more) teeth missing. Or perhaps something embedded in between two teeth? But you said you checked already and didn't see anything...

    m35 transmission noise..

When starting from a full stop with engine below idle speed, does it knock say 6-7 times per second, or just 1-2 /sec.? Did you get to inspect this one, the 1st counter-gear? It only has 13 teeth (from factory at least...) G.

    M35 steering box seals?

M35 steering box seal numbers, corrected data! Thanks Rusty for double-checking...: Your info is correct! (My bad, for some reason I had those two inverted, in my files ). Below is now the correct version/ numbers, extracted from the TIMKEN-NATIONAL catalog:

    8 lug to 6 lug

Welcome to Steelsoldiers! I see you are pretty new here... Might want to consider a few points: 1) If you really want to be helped then better be more specific about what model trailer you want to convert. 2) "U" is a vocal which we may use to describe the type of bolt; joint; etc. "U" is not...

    M35 steering box seals?

No, it just says #323138 "provides a compatible interchange". It probably is more popular but it's a single-lip style and only 1/4" width. And made of Nitrile (S) instead of Polyacrylate (N) The #330480N is a much better option IMHO; unless someone wanted to use two of the thin ones, with the...

CUCV head gasket / head/ or change engine survey

Ohh well, yes and no... I forgot that at some point I had swapped IP tops with another (HMMWV)motor going for a 12V application. The body of the IP in the picture still is the original DB2829-4521. I don't think so. G.

CUCV head gasket / head/ or change engine survey

Yes, it was running when I pulled it out of a... nice and complete '77 M886 !! (I bought the whole thing for less than what that motor costs, here.) All I know is that the Uruguayan military had done the swap, and the only thing they had on hand at that time was M1008's and M1009's. Never did...

    M35 steering box seals?

Just so the original question doesn't go unanswered... From the ORD 9 SNL G-742 parts manual; Fig. 14-1, item BB: Part No. 500044, SEAL, oil, type ML, 1-3/8 x 1.832 x 7/16. Now, 7/16" would be extra-wide, for that size of seal at least. Best if you could get an OEM repair kit, which would...

    Brake bleeder valves

It takes a very common size, so why not order online? Just google: "brake bleeder screw 7/16-20 x 1-1/4". (7/16-20 x 1-1/2" will also work) For example NAPA # UP 11410, here... G. .

Lube on seals in split rim?

For the FMTV wheels with the steel band type beadlock I use common wheel bearing grease, where the O-ring goes and around the studs. And I'm certain that the stuff I found when disassembling them (probably for the first time in their whole service life) was also plain, thick grease. When...

    Rear Main Seals

I fully agree. Specs are: 5.000" Shaft; 6.001" Bore; 0.50" Width, fully encased, nitrile (or better fluoroelastomer). Why take the risk to buy outdated NOS seals if you can have the same, "factory fresh" from Timken (#415725) or SKF (#49929 or better #49927) G.

Anyone have any info on this Wheel?

Its very easy to confirm: 22.2" overall diameter = MPT 24" overall diameter = all other super-single wheels To Toby: once again, those wheels in post #21 do not fit MPT tires! G.
