    M923 alternator

The M900 series trucks have a habit of this it seems. If the batteries are dead or low, DON'T drive the truck without disconnecting the alternator. I have picked up many lately where almost everything electrical is fried, and it is due to a blown alt. One was pumping 63volts at 110amps. That...

    Beautiful 1941 WC-40

Not really restoration, more like modernizing. But it still looks great and the fact he didn't mess with the original too bad means it could always be put back in another 50 years.

has anyone bought a truck with the condition code H and driven it home

I've seen trucks listed as scrap that looked and drove brand new, seen trucks listed as repairable with cracked or bent frames. And everything in between. Like Doghead said, they don't mean diddly.

    OE Convoy Lights Help

Well, I just went out and put my clamp on fluke on my set of convoy lights. I got 5-8 amps each side with two flood light bulbs (not standard, they came from Saturn Surplus)

    Dealing with a wreck

I will echo what others have said about the truck. DON'T fix it or let them talk you into fixing it. I got hit the exact same place in a 1992 dodge pickup back when I was in high school. A friend of mine was behind me in a low hooded saturn, was looking at a wreck in the other lanes, and didn't...

Can anyone ID this Dodge chassis?

Wow! I'd love to have the dual rear rims! I would also say it was a WWII dodge of some sort.

    Hello from VA Beach

Hey Iggy! Welcome to the site! Good luck on the M35 purchase. I spent 8 years there when I was in the Navy. I come up often to visit the inlaws and all my old shipmates. If you can, you should check out the GA rally in Oct, and try to come on down! You will learn a lot and find some cool...

    Please Identify this M37 Feature

M37s are one of the few MV's that have slave ports on the driver side. Almost everything else I've seen they are on the passenger side.

Help me sort out my mixed up M37

My 1954 M37 also has a B1 cab, however all the data plates match the frame, and it must have been done in service. Makes me wonder what happened to the original cab, fire? some one crush it?

Hey Dave, I think that it looks pretty good! like you said, time will tell! Hope you have as good a luck with it as others have.

    sirens

Sirens were much more likely to be mounted in the military to ambulances, firetrucks, occasionally wreckers and rarely guntrucks. I've seen photos of them on quite a few wreckers in service. It is your siren and your truck, do as you please. But as SWBradley said, someone that likes a noise...
