Official 2013 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR13 thread

I have a maybe odd request- My Dad wants to come but he can't camp anymore or even stay in the Deuce with me. It might be too late and it would be overkill to rent a place for just him as my wife and I like to stay out on the field. Is there someone who has rented a cabin or trailer that isn't...

LSSV: 2005 Chevy Crew Cab, Fl to VA and back.

Oh, and does it have a key so I can unlock the steering so I can get it on the trailer? unless you want me to ask them to forklift load it...

    Road Speed

Can you make an M37 go that fast? Yes. But you will have to change the gearing, put a much better braking system on (people love to make things with more go but forget about the whoa!) and probably swap out the engine as well as the flatheads don't like overreving AT ALL. It's the nature of the...

    Possible project.....

Is all this M1070 fever simply because there are so many coming out and they are going relativly cheaply? I think if you like the cab etc, grafting that onto a M927 or some other such beast would be the better way to go.

LSSV: 2005 Chevy Crew Cab, Fl to VA and back.

Does it use standard chevy 8 bolt rims? I'm thinking of taking a couple so I'm not dragging the flat tires up on the trailer.

Registering M931A2 semi tractor tomorrow -- 80,000 plates reasonable or overkill?

Figure out what the max weight you will haul is, plus the tractor and trailer weight. If you think 60,000lbs is enough, plate it for that. Just don't get caught going over your plate limit. In my mind it is better to be plated higher than to be ticketed for going over a lower plate. The fines...

I've got that figured out PB Tires are Black Seats are Canvas Body is WWII OD Bed is wood colored wood floor is a different wood color That's why it's 5 different colors! WC-51 Restoration or Bust!!

You guys that can do body work amaze me. I fix dang near anything mechanical, but it will still look like crap when I'm done. I can't do body work to save my life. It is looking outstanding and can't wait to see it in person someday!

    M1061A1 ...Recovered

I've been wanting to get one to pull behind the wrecker, would be very handy when I go to pick stuff up that is just a bit too big for a M105, making me find a driver to bring another truck and trailer along. Nice score and great deal!

Just got part of a halftrack for $350

Good luck getting her going. If you do decide to part with it I sure could use it for my project. Can't wait to see more pictures and learn more about the modifications done.

Official 2013 SS Georgia Rally Info SSGR13 thread

If you do want to help out, I think we came up with a volunteer board at the registration table? with a list of what needs to be done for a minute, hour, day or the whole time? I seem to remember talking about that at some point.

Do I need to annul operation "Nab old coot, cowgirl, and Mack nut" and inact Operation "Nab old coot, cowgirl, Mack nut and Crane Man?" At this rate I'll have to get my old school bus going to get all the kidnappies to the rally!

    Hi from Georgia

Yeah but if you don't take out the head with the bumper, front axle or front tires, they have a week and a half to crawl out of the way before the rear tires of your M814 get there to finish the job! Welcome to the site. I wish I had a deuce to offer in trade! I want a DUKW real bad now. Not...
