I just check my two 831's and the inverter housing is bonded to the generator skid & frame. It wouldn't make sense for the inverter housing to float since this could create a shock hazard to anyone servicing the set. Current should not be flowing between the gensets frame and the inverter...

You're getting there! With the set running and S1 in the START position do you get AC voltage across A1 terminals 7 & 8? What is the voltage? With the set running and S1 in the START position do you get 120 VAC voltage across A1 terminals 3 & 4?

Would like to hear if you can confirm this is true for 120V operation. Some have stated that in 120 V mode you can pull all 3 KW from say L1-N, others have said no, you can only pull 1.5 KW from L1-N, and 1.5 KW from L2-N in 120 V mode.
