My trip was a bit out of the ordinary cross country adventure, it also included a run down to Florida and Georgia to pick up a dolly and a laundry trailer to be delivered along the way, AR and NV respectively.
Loaded rig shown below. Not so visible are the 50+ "cubies" with veggie oil and...
David suggested Randolph some years ago and when I called, I was given minimum orders and that sort of thing and it was simply not in my budget. The Aervoe comes in six-packs (cans) and is a lot easier on my wallet. I also consider function before looks, so doing a paint job on the truck for me...
Jon, I'm very satisfied with the Aervoe 997B (24084), Vietnam era OD SG. There has been no fading or any evidence of turning pink after almost 4 years. The paint is particularly attractive after a rain shower, which seems to bring out the original sheen.
The paint is an almost perfect match to...
Travis, the turn signal bulb is grounded via the hose clamp to the steering wheel column, it is not a failure of the turn signal flasher unit if it doesn't turn on, it may simply not be grounded.
There may or may not be a CB in the flame heater circuit. Wire #55 comes from the accessory...
Here is an image of the 8x8 multi with the crankcase fumes drawn out with the exhaust. This was done for a minimum of preparations for the engine to work under water (swimming).
I assume that you are interested in keeping a vintage electromechanical regulator for your M37 and if so, I don't believe that there is an outside adjustment. The case would have to come off. There should be one stashed away here somewhere, I'll take a look...
This was my solution...put more then 10,000 miles on it since installation...need a new filter element now...

I'd like to see the simplified version of the light switch as shown below and separate the ground at the instrument panel to show that the instruments are together grounded via the 1/4 turn fasternes to "chassis".
The bulb info below would be useful...
The fuel level sending unit is grounded...
Making some progress on this project, got two chains assembled using side chains and cross links from 1100-20 tire chains. It took 5ea (five), to make the two shown in the image...
Just curious, my '69 8x8 Allison is linked to the injection pump governor, which has a "torque link" to alleviate shift shock (quote below from 1974 TM 9-2910-226-34), do the newer 5-tonners have a similar set-up or was this another piece of technology lost in the annals of history?
"(1) The...
Received the O-rings (theoringstore.com) and finished reassembling the oil cooler.
Images show progress. Got the cab lifted back on yesterday just before a light rain shower.
Earlier in this thread I mentioned that there was a problem with the FDC or fuel rod possibly sticking, well I found...
Why not run a ground wire from all the instrument ground terminals and a dedicated ground wire to a solid ground outside the dash, which is in direct connection with the battery (neg) terminal? That's what I have done for a very reliable instrument cluster. I'll post a picture next time the dash...
