it may be different else where but in this state you cant exceed the gross combined weight in the owners manual or on the door tag. It doesn't matter what fees you pay. The weights in the door tags indicate what the truck is engineered to move control and stop with.
As I said earlier over gross applies to any vehicle not just the ones that fall under cmv enforcement. also if you are involved in an accident and you are over gross your insurance company might tell you sorry your on your own
regardless of where you get an ecm it's going to need to be reflashed. Only some one with cat e-t can do that, my suggestion would be to find someone in your area they can get an image off of, than it can be transferred to your new or refurbished ecm. The cat shop isn't cheap but the cummins or...
sounds like air is getting into the system over night, try bleeding the fuel system first thing in the morning. If your battery's are in a weakened state the starter may turn over good but you wont have the power to open the fuel solenoid. cold start procedure for a 6.2 diesel is to crack the...
I'm a 30 year hd diesel mechanic with both military and commercial experience, when I read stuff like this it makes me feel so good when some one shows me a piece of paper than says look at this I smarter than you. First over fill oil by 5 gallons stupid, secondly another tech drains out 4...
You toss a trailer on a duce your going to need a cdl, and your coming to come under cmv enforcement in just about all states, with a dull
dueley one ton or larger if you are using it to generate revenue any way. For most states if the truck is used as a farm truck or for private use only they...
I don't think there is a problem if I ever got a duce the first thing painted on it would be 8th mp bde 772 mp 142 p-4 just llike my duce I had as a young private.
Mine hold a whole variety of sporting arms too. Now I don't have an m4 with all the bells and whistles, but it holds my m4 with trijicon site real well.
You could charge off the 12 volt stud or one of the 12 volt battery terminal's. You likely would want some kind of isolation, like a diode, or key activated relay to keep your aux load from drawing down your starting battery's when the engine isn't running.
I suspect no power to the ecm, cat ecm's are pretty robust, aside from too much voltage or reverse polarity it should be good. The no communication error most likely is because the ecm isn't powering up. We did have one in Iraq with that same problem and s&s replaced an engine under warranty...
A hundred amp alternator can keep up with an electric snowplow motor, lights and heater, it can also keep an 8k electric winch running longer the motor can run with out overheating. Unless you are trying to run stadium lighting you should be in plenty good shape. If you are trying to run a...
I would run the sn on the transmission the vim box could have been cannibalized, mine was when I picked it up the whole reason it was advertised as not running.
no the huge bonus was the new spare one that came with the truck. But yes mine had the 200 amp model like the a-1's we had in Iraq which were equipped with lsa cabs and a-c.
If you find your hub rusty or full of water plan on replacing wheel bearings, and removing the spindles to replace the seal behind it. That's where the water gets in 90 percent of the time. too many mechanics will not completely service the front end and a year later you will be doing it all...
Why not use a dual voltage alternator? I think most came with the 200 amp dual voltage model. I know that is what my a-0 had I also picked up a spare when I got mine.
