Well, I got another steering wheel.
It is an EX-USAF stake bed. I got it through GSA. It was used at Shaw, so when it is fixed up and tagged, I'm going to drive it to work! lol. (I work at Shaw AFB)
I got to jump it off and test drive it, so I bid a little more than I wanted to, but my...
Hello everyone, I need a little help.
I need a driver on Monday, Feb 18th.
I have to get two trucks and a trailer 112 miles from here, to Mount Holly NC. I have two poly tanks to pick up, but I have to take the wrecker to get them, and my Dodge and trailer to haul them home.
I would put a...
Hey Matt, nice truck!
Won't rev up, I would look for air getting in the fuel lines somewhere, and definitely change that filter! I think when we picked up EMD's M814, it was 1973 everything, including the dang fuel filter! that thing was crusty...
It only takes a little restriction or air...
1970 XM818 with M967 bulk 5k tanker loaded with WVO, whole rig weighed 72k on this trip. Did it once a week 500 mile round trip. She did it but hated hills!

Not to *derail* the OP's thread...
yes, and it has special rims and tires to ride on the rails. It was modified by the Army and used at Ft. Stewart, GA on the base railroad there. Me and EMD567 co-own it.

I had a similar start to my week last week. My Dodge 2500 is down, so I've been driving the M1008 Hyrailer to work. She won't start Monday morning. Ok, fire up the M936 and move it over, slave it off, no problem. Well, in the pitch dark, I don't put the wrecker back all the way. This comes back...
Rear 12pin plug and 12 pin plug behind driver side under cab, are 24v. The 7pin round under the cab is 12v. If you are going to use 12v lights on the trailer, just make an extention cord for the 7pin, or run a new wire back with plug and splice it in.
Don't worry, if our members can't or won't use the search function to find an answer, you can bet the Gov won't either!
We're safe.
And Dell, running for President might be a *tad* bit political.
I'm personally a big fan of 50% over. I over rate almost everything I can to 50% of what it will carry. Just a preferance. I didn't realize the blue hose had that rating. My M915 has them all over, and they have worked for 30k miles and a year and a half, so I would say they must be alright.
It is already slowing the movement of normal parts and supplies through the system, so DRMO stuff will take a seat at the back of the bus, or have to watch the bus leave without it. Or it will sit there, along with the bus, as the bus doesn't even run anymore and no one is around to fix it or...
I've had similar cables break and then when the cable started to unraval inside the housing, it froze up.
I agree the most likely cause is a binding cable.
