You're most certainly welcome to come Dell. I'm pretty sure I'll be working on the 21st, but I can put the hardtop out where you can get it.
Oh, and a few pics of the compound. There is 2 acres of pasture that I've mowed in an L shape behind the barn and to the left of the house. plenty of room...
between two batteries in the truck, and slave the deuce to it, that gives 4 batteries total. And if you run them down, the deuce or your gen can charge them back up.
I wouldn't tow it but maybe a mile or two at slow speeds IF the brakes on the 5 ton work hooked up to the deuce. Might be enough...
Hello SC members!
I brought up this subject about a year ago, but we never really nailed down a date. I would like to have a meet and greet at my house, sometime this year.
Now I'm not talking about a rally, kind of just a Sat thing, to get some of the SC members together, so we can meet each...
Well let him get one and do what he wants with it!
Oh, I guess following that logic, I have to get one and paint it Navy if I want one gray... Dang logic, always screwing things up!
Yep, NO telling what critters will show to the GA rally...
This has happened to me A LOT. It really bugs me, but it is a free country, (for now) so he has the right to do whatever he wants to the truck as well. It just eats me up when people leave perfectly good equipment to rot.
I am interested in the tank, if you decide to sell/swap. I don't have a cargo truck or I might offer to swap you the whole thing.
Does it still have the pump, pto, etc?
well... shoot. I thought it was the first weekend that got agreed upon in the last thread. That means I can't go. :( oh well, next year. Maybe I'll pop up for a few hours on Sat in the pickup.
I've made 143 trips hauling a 50k tanker on hard surfaces, plus numerous other long hauls with my flatbed loaded to the gills using my M915A1. I highly recommend a 915. if the field is really bad you might want a 931/2 or even a m818.
I forgot to mention, that a M915 has a lot of standard semi...
Just curious, what do they do with it normally?
I've never mixed it straight with WMO but I have used it a lot in biofuel production.
I would get some and run some tests on some samples. It might be good to use on long trips but not let large quantities sit in the tanks. If you keep your fuel...
If I had a penny for every time I was asked "what do you do with it?" I'd have about enough to order lunch from the dollar menu!
That's still a bunch of times I've been asked!
Hey,,, aren't you one of the 'morer experienced members?'
I'm tired of searching for other people... :burn:
Phil, I've offered to pluck it out with the wrecker for a year now...
I guess if an emergancy arises, and we need to power an office building or part of a hospital, he want's to be ready!
Actually he just doesn't want to move it more than once. I would think someone would have wanted a really...
Hey Mike.
I just like them. They come in handy all the time, you find uses for them. lol.
My wife converted a M109 into a camper, we take it all over, and with it being multi, the fuel is free! Also the cool factor is there. Someone can pull into the campground with a brand new class A worth...
I would go with a 30% meth and 70% WMO at least. Might want to do more WMO. Take a plastic cup, and suspend it over a catch of some sort. Poke a small hole in the bottom. Pour in a cup of diesel, and time how long it takes to drain. Do the same with your blend. adjust the blend to get about the...
Not a pintle accident, but one where the chains saved my bacon!
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?63828-Towbar-Incident-Report&highlight=
I had a civilian pintle on my pickup pop open crossing some train tracks, and my M101 came off. But she was chained up properly and nothing...
