    roll-up/down radiator covers

Would be great to find something like that, even if only to see how they were designed/built. Thanks.

    Fan clutch for the Deuce?

yeah, there are a bunch of fan clutch threads. Have read all of them, and have been posting in the one you're talking about. Was just wondering what happened to this one.

    under-hood insulation

I just had all the cab and all the bodypanels sandblasted and epoxy-primed. Hope that'll be OK. Still trying to decide what I want to do about insulation on all those sheetmetal parts. Might just suck it up and have some sort of professional spray-on bedliner applied.

    under-hood insulation

This is the best resource I've found online for information about insulation and sound-deadening in vehicles (and other applications): soundproofing.org. They are a retailer though, just something to take into consideration.

900 series fan clutch on a LDT deuce?

Don't want to pull the waterpump pulley on mah deuce if I can avoid it, but if any of you guys can help me figure out if we have any room to work with there (modifying or making custom pulleys), I don't mind doing the rest of the research and design-work.

900 series fan clutch on a LDT deuce?

Removed the fan from mah deuce this morning and took some measurements: fan mounting pattern: 4 x 3.125" & 2.1875" center-to-center (across the pilot-hub) fan pilot hub dimensions: 1.5" in diameter x .5" thick fan diameter: 20" fan blade total thickness: 2" distance from fan mounting surface...

    Fan clutch for the Deuce?

Why are all these posts blank? Deleted?

    under-hood insulation

That's a big concern of mine too, especially since I'm installing a new cab. But I'm using a fiberglass A3 hood, so no potential rust problems there.

    Project Off-Grid M109A3 w/w log

To tow behind your camper? How's it going to be outfitted? General use, or something more specific?

    roll-up/down radiator covers

That roll-up volvo cover sound sweet. but thermostatically controlled air-opererated shutters would be equally awesome and if they're already being used on other vehicles that's what I'll look into first. Thanks guys.

    roll-up/down radiator covers

Ever seen or heard of anything like this? Realize that it would have to be strong enough to withstand the suction force of the fan trying to pull it through the radiator. Was thinking that I could make a few vertical ribs to support it. Already have an arctic cover for the front-end, but would...

    Mastercraft seats in a deuce

Nice setup. Going to be putting some low-back suspension seats on top of modified springer bases, along with 4-point harnesses in mah deuce. How/where did you anchor those shoulder harnesses? Only asking because I don't see any type of anchor-points above the height of the cab and that's a big...

    under-hood insulation

Yeah yeah, I want to go way overboard here. Trying to civilize mah deuce. A least a bit.

    under-hood insulation

Thanks gimp. Looks like that's mostly for heat? What about noise? Any suggestions?

    Tubeless on steroids tire.

Dunno about that, but they've been using those things on heavy equipment for a while now, and I've never seen 'sidewalls' on any of them. Maybe because of the low speeds?

    Tubeless on steroids tire.

Those stupid honeycombs are actually pretty cool. They allow the tire to conform to terrain, sort of like a pneumatic tire, while retaining lateral stability.

    Tubeless on steroids tire.

When I first saw that it was called the tweel. Developed by Michelin. WM are you saying that's a stupid idea?

    under-hood insulation

Have heard that there was some kind of under-hood blanket that was included as part of the arctic kit, and most of the pictures of A3's that I've seen show some kind of insulation under the hood. Got a fiberglass A3 hood that I'm planning on adapting to my A2 and would like to add some more...

900 series fan clutch on a LDT deuce?

Was doing some research on this subject and found this old thread, which contains some good info.

    Transfer Case removal/replacing

The transfer-case has holes to accommodate both types of mounts, so you can switch from one to the other. Had to do that when I replaced mine too.
