The plugs in the daily M1009 all cam out, not swelled but all burned out, two seperate trucks, same plugs, perhaps it was a full moon. Put some used ones back in the plow truck, well atleast 6 anyway and she sterted right up. Ordered the tool yesterday, will report on how it works.

Correct, the CUCV battery tray is designed for the 6TL or 31, I second for the NAPA battery or a good brand name like Interstate, etc. Make sure and get the 1100CCA 31.

With all the recent and past reports of CUCV forklift damage, including my M1008 from GL, VA lets add up all the GL carnage. Both DS and body on mine. DS looked like a twizzler, door and fender crunched.

The plunger does not have enough power to push the throttle lever on it's own, you have to hold it ahead as if pushing down on the pedal and let the plunger advance and see if it holds. It may be out of adjustment as well, you can screw it in to lengthen it. I had this happen on mine, two or...

I would think the tail of the tranfer case would break/crack before the transmission would. The trans probably took a hit from the forklift. 55mph in a M1008 is not helping either, 50mph should be max if you want the truck to last. TH400 should be easy to find, and rebuilding the ds is simple...
