    A/C new install

I'm kinda surprised that the gen2 kits hadn't ironed out these sort of issues. I've been going back-and-forth with just building a system from scratch or using a surplus kit for simplicity. I know all the bits that I need, and where I can get the civilian equivalents but I figured that the...

    Buzzer with volume control?

Not when you leave them on and don't turn (ie: lane change, etc). LOL

    Buzzer with volume control?

I'm just the opposite. If I leave my turn signals on going down the highway one more g*********d time, I'm installing a beeper. LOL

    Buzzer with volume control?

Not intentionally while on a patrol or convoy, I would think. That's silliness for back a base. Heh You drain them of air to prevent water from condensing in the wet tank/system. I't not going to hurt things to let them sit for a few days even in the most humid of climates. But draining air...

    Buzzer with volume control?

Pretty much every truck I've ever seen had the buzzer taped. I like his solution as a replacement for the tape. Other discussion stuff not applicable. ;p

    M1078 Starter Replacement

I need to pull mine. It was rebuilt by the PD that sold it to me. But every time it rains, it drags or just clicks at the solenoid. I looked all over for a short until I finally noticed where someone had been smacking it with a big hammer or small sledge. Tapping it works, so I figured...

    M1079 weight of box

That's what the specs on the web say. I kind of chuckled when I saw the placard on my M1079 box. No idea how that was calculated. *see image above

    M1079 weight of box

    Could be.

Look at the difference when all of the running and tail lights are replaced

It's just the angled brace. It' looked like something else in the fisheye photo. Thanks

    M1079 weight of box

Technically it's 2.5 ton carrying capacity, so it's pretty much over capacity even when it's empty. This is why practically every EU adventure truck builder uses 6x6 with higher capacity.

    M1079 weight of box

I think it's on the placard for the removal/lift instructions. I snapped a pic of it for someone asking the same. Let me see if I have it...

Look at the difference when all of the running and tail lights are replaced

I picked up another M1082 trailer this week. I've noticed that there are subtle differences in the year models (the rear bumpers, the ladders and how they attach, some have a lock box driver side aft, some don't). But what is this? It looks to be hedged...

    LMTV Shocks Absorbers

See the post right above it. Those are the ICON's that Seth had made for his M1079. He's on here as "Adventure Driven"

    LMTV Shocks Absorbers

Those are just a basic bypass shock. I've not looked up the NSN but I suspect they are for a light vic. The potential problem with bypass shocks is the location of the bypass related to the mount. Even if they happened to be the right length the "bypass can" could be off 90 degrees and...

    LMTV Shocks Absorbers

There are a few folks on the LMTV FB group who have them.
