Oil Change
I spent today unloading my tools and parts out of the chase vehicle and the M925A1. First order of business was an oil change. So nothing too exciting to report on today. Before starting on this project, I wanted to make sure she's mechanically sound. No sense starting an extensive...
WA State Collector Vehicle Plates!
After I got home from my M925A1, I marched straight down to our County Office and got my M923 plated. I've been waiting for this day since I brought the truck home. I had to wait for him to turn 30 years old to qualify for Collector Plates. My total out of...
Inches to spare, quite literally!
Once I got things checked out, I moved the truck to "5 ton alley". I quite literally only have inches to spare...8 inches to be exact.
I am a lucky man indeed. My M925A1 thread is up at:

WARNING: LOTS OF PICS AND WAY TOO MUCH DETAIL.When I do a thread like this, I basically use it as my build diary. So lots of nonsense details that no one would otherwise be interested in. I like to look back on my builds to see what I did. So forgive me for the rambling on with some of my future...
I drove her home. She's a strong runner. The fuel was definitely turned up. She was pulling hills at 50 mph easy. When I pulled into the driveway my wife asked me what I was going to do with this truck. I just smiled.
Hi Peter! I saw the same truck around 1110 hours in the Nisqually Valley while enroute to JBLM. I picked up my truck and was on the road by 1300 hrs. Everything went outstanding. Going to start another build soon;-). The "new" truck has a few more issues to troubleshoot:-)
Have an idea for this thread. Seems most if not all items are claimed within a week of posting. However, those who list free items tend to forget to delete their ads. I propose that the "Free Item" ads expire after 1-2 weeks of posting
The only thing I did with my M923 is cold start her. Whoah Nellie!! Talk about smoke. That is one cold-blooded beast of an engine! Also, this week I'll be bringing home my M925A1...hopefully.
Definitely Peter, the idea is just being tossed around. Once something is concrete, our beloved "Mini Rally Coordinator" will post something in here I'm sure...<nudges SRodocker>
Speaking from my experience. You do not need to flip the hubs. I have my two spares mounted inside the bed. I really like the looks of super singles but the ride isn't all that great. Especially when you compare the ride of a 11.00 truck and a super singled truck. I put 395's on my M923 and if...
