Definitely check out all the fluids. Last week a M923A1 with cargo cover sold for a pretty good price. It was a Blount Island USMC truck in somewhat good shape. I smelled the tranny fluid and WOW!! That fluid was burnt! It probably wasn't checked in awhile as the inspection cover was rusted...
I think Barstow stopped drive outs. May need to find someone to tow it just outside the maingates and drive it off. Other than the cargo cover being on backwards, truck looks great! You did good my friend!!
Yikes Peter! Glad you're OK. Better it got your shoulder rather than your head. Those tailgates have some metal on them. Those bumper steps are an absolute must. Especially for us older folk. Seems my trucks are getting taller and taller everytime I have to crawl up there;-). Other than my truck...
I had issues with my truck engaging into Low range from High range. This was especially evident when the air pressure in the truck was over 90 PSI. I found the wires from the transfer case switch and the capacitor "out" wires were connected incorrectly. Once I got the wires connected correctly I...
Alright DR, you convinced me to do a M925A1 thread bro. I wasn't going to do one but if it helps one person out then it makes it worthwhile;-). Thanks for the feedback on this thread I appreciate it guys!
Lightweight Weapon Station LWS
Hi DR how you doing man? The LWS (Lightweight Weapon Station) is a weapon platform found on the HMMWV's, M939 series 5 tons, and MTVR's to name a few. Rather than go into further details, heres a few pics I have saved over the past couple months;).
You're right Peter, one tire is really low on air and the other looks to be dead flat. Kind of makes me nervous 'cause GL drove the truck about 200 yards on the tires.
I too am glad you didn't bid me up Peter;-). Funny thing is I bought a NOS 5 ton cargo cover kit because the trucks without a...
Got my M923 a buddy today.
JY has been sitting all by his lonesome in the 5 ton corral. Today, I was blessed with another addition to the family. Did I need another truck? Absolutely not, but should my 923 decide to leave me stranded on the side of the road. I'll have something to bring her...
Haven't been in here in a long time. Thank you in advance sir.

Bracing for the big windstorm getting ready to hit our area. Hoping to pull the trucks into action. They're expecting widespread power outages, downed trees, and flooding.
There's an article in the PS Magazine talking about the removal of the ENGINE HOT idiot light. Seems the lights would go off when the truck was operating at normal temps and cause the truck to be prematurely labelled as deadlined. Or something like that. I'll try and track it down.
The bows I have. I have 5 really great ones and 1 not so great. You can have the not so great at no charge if you buy the 5 (the one just needs to be recurved)
Here are the staves I have. The 10 off the deuce are near new and I found 2 more in close to the same condition. The brown on the staves are the packing tape they had on them when they were packed from the factory.
I do have oak bows as well if you're interested.
I have some near new oak staves that are CARC green. When I bought my deuce it came with a newly installed cargo cover kit. The staves look as though they have never seen water. PM me if you're interested.
