Machine shop called. The shop they subbed the work out to discovered that they need to disassemble the head to do the welding and practically doubled the quote. $1400 for R&R of one (1) head :shock: craaazy.
I pulled the plug on the shop and will deal with getting the old heads back next...

Not to dampen your enthusiasm, but did you jump the starter with 24V before open heart surgery? It may be as simple as a bad ground...

Yes, I bought one and installed it. It appears to be a well-made unit. It is not just a copy of the original, but a better engineered version. Someone here with a lot more knowledge and experience in fuel injection systems looked at it in more detail and it checked out very much ok.
