Don't pull more than 14,500 lbs single line. This is for 816. This is straight out of the TM.
The 936 shouldn't pull more than 16,500 or 17,000 lbs single line according to the dataplate. Yes the winch can pull 45,000 but the safe will of the cable and chain cannot.
Also Ron this is not an attack on your math as i was in agreement with you until I read the load tables. I also have seen two wreckers with bent booms and they were bent right in front of the lift rams on the outer boom and the inner booms were out just past the bend and this is why i will leave...
Okay so I have taken a look at this and the tm again and I think it can be done safely 2 different ways. First would be a 8 foot jib added to the inner extension and it should pin on and be rigged back to rear of main boom with cables like in Zebadee ' s drawing and should be good for 1000-1500...
Not a parking brake knob on the dash. It is the handle in between the seats that doesn't have a button on it. Please download the tm and read the -10 at least.
Might can get it from Carnac if you have the registration code off the door or hood.

Anyone have the tm for installing a fording kit? Or have installed one themselves? Need all information I can find I have a scrap truck with a kit on it and I want to pull it and reinstall it in my truck and don't want to miss anything
Okay what is your voltage? Check it with a meter sounds like a truck I just picked up that the gages exploded in, due to a over voltage problem. I believe that the quick jump at drmo fried the voltage regulator which caused the problem. Just in case anyone doesn't know, you should let any truck...
